In Braddock, the name Sulliven has long been known to be synonymous with trouble. Born and bred in the slums of the city, Andrew Sulliven learned at an early age the stigma that came from being as poor as his family was. Rather than rail against it, however, he embraced society’s expectations; no one thought he would ever succeed so why bother trying? Instead he turned towards a different way of living, skipping school, drinking underage, and especially getting into fights. If there was one thing Andy enjoyed it was the feeling of his fist connecting with someone else’s face. Sometimes he fought for himself, but other times, it was for profit. Word had spread on the street that Andy was always happy to fight, and people were willing to pay him for it, if only he would take out someone who’d been bothering them.
A non-lethal hitman, Andy was all too happy to take out his frustrations on others, and make some money in the process. By the time he was fifteen, his life was fast and loose, and he often dragged his younger brothers into his antics with him. Until the day came when he hit the wrong person. The next thing Andy knew, he was in juvie, serving time for two counts of aggravated assault. Being locked up was far from enjoyable, but those years inside the institution did teach Andy some discipline. By the time he left at twenty, with court-ordered anger management classes under his belt, he’d decided his days of being a thug for hire were behind him.
For the next few years, Andy did the best he could to stay out of trouble with the law, lest he lose more years of his life to sitting in a cage. Things were tense with his family, even with the younger brothers who had once so idolized him, so he bailed and bought his own place. It was in the same neighborhood that he’d grown up in, but at least it was his alone. However staying straight wasn’t easy; his quick temper made it holding down a job difficult, and over the years, Andy found himself out of work more often than employed. That all changed when an old flame came back into town, and offered him work. At first it was just a few odd jobs, occasionally outside the law, which he did unquestioningly. Then, once he’d proven himself trustworthy, it was a full time a job, working as a bouncer at her establishment.
The line of work was perfect for someone with his temperament, and it was something he excelled at. Patrons knew not to cause trouble with him around, and those that did were swiftly reminded of just why that was a bad choice. For years Andy kept the club, its performers, and its owner safe. However during the blackout following the meteor shower, Andy snapped. Something about that darkness triggered all the rage that he’d thought he’d found a way to balance, and he lashed out, attacking five of the patrons before finally shooting himself.

Mara Deveraux
Mara had first approached him a little while after he was released from juvie, and they had a short fling before she disappeared from town. Andy hadn’t expected to ever see her again. However when she did return and offered him work, he didn’t even hesitate. Through the years, Andy became dedicated to Mara, eager to please her both as a loyal employee, and an occassional lover. She never told him that she’d gotten pregnant and given birth all those years ago.
