Paola Jacket
I built the Paola Workwear jacket from Fabric Store, which seems to be a pretty popular pattern, because it was made free for a while. I wanted to write down some helpful videos, without which I wouldn't have been able to make it.
First off, the tutorial for the pattern can be found here. Even better than the tutorial on their website, this person uploaded an AMAZING video tutorial of the entire jacket. Without this I would not have been able to make this jacket, her video is fantastic.
I am new to sewing, so I found this video very helpful just to understand sewing patterns and common symbols used on a pattern. One concept that was new to me was flat-felled seams. This video was great to understanding how those work, and what the easiest way to make them is. Buttons and buttonholes were new to me too. I found this video helpful for understanding how to make buttonholes. This one was great for how to sew on the buttons themselves. I had a little too much room in the back, so darts proved an effective way of taking in a little of that extra fabric. Mine weren't pretty.....but did the trick. This video helped me craft some basic ones.
I made my jacket with 10oz denim, which proved to be great. Overall, I liked working with denim. The thickness sometimes proved a bit tricky, but I liked how it held its shape and structure as I was working with it.

This might even top Little Blue for me, wow
I picked 6 pounds of blackberries, hosted a dinner party where every dish contained them, and got through another week.
