They’re girlfriends

The queen with the unicorn has a darker/cavelike background. Also stonework and jewelry. Dragons line in her kingdom of stone. They’re a rich country and forge armor and weapons. The princess with the dragon gifted her a unicorn. Her kingdom is rich in farmland and forests, and has a world renowned school of medicine. The beasties they sent each other are promises of engagement.
