The Rythmic City, Close Up.
The Rhythmic City, Close Up is a Photo Essay with an accompanying sound track. It looks at Rhythm within objects in the city. It takes this as a media fabrication to the city.
For the images I was searching for Rhythm or a repeated action within small objects and textures. I used gamification to help me reach this photo Essay. Just like in games, I went out searching for hidden Rhythm in Wellington. Adding the gameficiation of searching and finding, I was able to unreel hidden patterns and Rhythms that I would not have be able to otherwise.
For the sound track, I decided to not set a mood but to apply gameifiation to this as well. I wanted to find my own rhythm. I enjoy making music and sounds. For my own rhythm, beatboxing is what I enjoy most and am good at. I wanted to make a beat box that ties to my photo essay. Not in the aspect of creating a mood, but In the aspect of that I have found my own rhythm.
To tie these two together I wanted the shown rhythm in the photo essay with outlines lines. This manipulate to my sound track creating an in sync piece.

More Rhythm around the city
Critical Perspective
Rhythm within the city and objects. For this I wanted to find Rhythm or a repeated action within small objects and textures. From the start I want to use gameification to help find this. Games often have objectives to find and locate different objects. I want to use this but to locate hidden rhythms.
The soundtrack will be based off my own rhythm. I beat box so I want to like this to my photo essay.
CCDN331 - Critical Selfie
I want to narrow my idea down to rhythm. I want to look at Rhythm within the city but to a smaller more detailed scale. Looking for rhythm and patterns within Wellington. I want to show the subtle rhythm. For my sound track I want to show rhythm for myself. I want to create a beatbox that the images will react to in the photo essay.
