Another Buffy process! The Willow cover was done nearly entirely as a painting so I skipped to cover 3, Giles. You can see a lot of work was done on this one. (LOL that SKETCH).

Often, when I have a complex background, or I don’t want to have to be careful or deliberate with how I paint, I’ll do the foreground and background as separate elements and then composite them in photoshop. Keeps me speedy and efficient. Helps me keep my piece cleaner (which is already hard enough as it is working in watercolor). In PS I adjusted the value, played with the lighting, and slapped a cute cast window of light on the books for more atmosphere. And once again LOOK AT THAT SKETCH UGHHHH.

Do you think if Jeffrey had just died the first time then we would have never lost William?

So i finished the episode!

I think even if he had died, it's probable that William's storyline seemed to be going that route anyways. M and or S would've found out about that part of the conspiracy. A part of me wants to think that maybe Scully would've protected him at all costs but Scully also is very rational, her decision sort of makes sense. If it's good for the other person, she's good at finding ways to detach her wants from what is need to be done and I believe Mulder would've respected that.

Plus, their relationship dynamics unfortunately always seem to have a slight tint of doom - any forever happy situation that involves anyone but them doesn't always end good. I mean not even them lol.

And I genuinely believe that they bought Jeffrey Spender back again because Chris Owens was promised a bigger role (moved to LA from Canada, etc.) but everything changed when David got a bit diva. I think it might've been David's idea again. Or at least that's the impression I got from interviews!

Nobody liked and still no one cares about Spender, not even when his character has proven to be an ally about three times. THEN AGAIN, he's like the only character not in the main cast & in proximity to M&S that is not a complete asshole (krycek ahem marita ahem)
