   ♕► “Headmaster Ironwood!?” She forgoed using his first name, knowing him only as the headmaster of Atlas Academy. After the fall of Beacon he had visited her family home a number of times but to find him here... she could only hope her father had not had a similar dimensional trip to the Hive. “Your words are APPRECIATED, but I’m sure if my father has his way I’ll NEVER be the family head.” He’d already renounced her as the heir after all.

  ♕► “I’ve been THINKING that maybe it’s time to start up the SDC again. That is, the SCHNEE DEFENSE COMPANY. It doesn’t look like I’ll be GOING ANYWHERE for a while at any rate...”

  ♕► “The HOLIDAYS are a time for everyone to come together and enjoy one another’s company, isn’t it? But I think here in this city, there’s another side to it too...”

“For MANY of us, be it by blood or otherwise, our families just AREN’T here. That’s something heavy to think about for some, but I guess I’m just trying to say... Remember that not EVERYONE is fortunate to have someone, and try and reach out to those that DON’T. It’s cliche, but a little LOVE can go a long way.”

               “That much is quite apparent! Again, an impressive display.” He complimented the other, approaching her but wisely kept his distance. She didn’t seem hostile, but one can never be too sure. As roused as he was from her display of skill, it was good practice to keep one’s distance. That said, she seemed rather pleased at being complimented.

               “I see… ‘tis a most interesting thing then, I must admit,” he trailed off, gloved fingers curling against his chin in thought, his mind already registering what he thought might be important detail. He echoed this information out loud. “A power unique to its wielder. So those glyphs? They are your semblance then? Astounding… the diversity of abilities caught within this city’s walls are remarkable.”

               That aside, Alphinaud turned his attention back to the girl, a smile upon his features. “Ah, but where are my manners. My name is Alphinaud Leveilleur. And who might this swashbuckling maiden might be?”

   ♕► As it became clearer that this conversation would ultimately cut into her practice time, Weiss tucked Myrtenaster into its usual place. There was no need to keep a blade drawn without need unless she sought to intimidate people needlessly. There were all types in this city of course, but this boy didn’t seem to be any threat to her safety.

There were few enough in comparison to have enough abilities unlocked to threaten her in the first place. 

“Right. I guess you could consider it like... a manifestation of your soul? Some people look at it like that anyways, though some feel it isn’t really true as well.” Weiss felt right at home explaining things from her own world at any rate. “My glyphs are like that, yes. Though I suppose its a little unique since my semblance is HEREDITARY.” Though she loathed to think about how she was related to that man. 

“Weiss Schnee, second daughter of the PRESTIGIOUS Schnee family.” She responded to his introduction in kind, providing a polite curtsy. “Though PLEASE don’t refer to me as ‘swashbuckling’ ever again.” What? She didn’t want to sound like some common pirate!

♕► Cue the eyeroll. “You can hug a pillow, can’t you? I swear half of this city would snuggle up to a stranger for less of a reason than ‘wanting to be warm’.”

  ♕► How often had singing salvaged her emotional state in the past? Into song she could put her feelings, she could vent. And thinking she was alone in a more isolated area of one of the city’s parks, she decided she need that release.
