Recently I saw alot of bad takes that Sasuke must be straight and nothing else. That was mostly in anti sns conotation but also in general. That sounds heteronormative to me since not only is his sexuality never explicitly stated in manga but he also never showed any romantic and/or sexual interest in women. So following the logic that character has to show some "signs of being gay/bi/aspec" in order to possibly be that, then said character also has to show some signs of being heterosexual right?

Could he be straight? Maybe. Is there anything solid in manga to support that claim? Well, not really. Could he be gay or aspec then? Yes, possibly. Here's for comparison how he reacts to woman hitting on him vs naked man creeping behind him:

And it's not just Karin, he either reacts annoyedly, dismissively, enduringly or overall not receptive whenever woman hits on him or touches him (Ino, Sakura, possibly some more). He's just not interested in that. And this isn't like, idk half of Akatsuki members, that we never see in (non deadly) interactions with females. Sasuke did interact with them, readers are not left in dark about his disinterest. Now of course he's a teen during manga and that could change, but following what we see during those 700 chaps there's next to nothing to back up that claim. From my perspective, he's someone who takes way more value in being felt understood than worshiped/senselessly loved (without feeling understood). Sasuke never and/or rarely felt that way regarding female characters, so no wonder he never formed a strong emotional bond with any of them.

So in my honest opinion, it'll make way more sense to headcanon him as aspec or demi than straight. As for gay, there are instances where he initiates (unnecessary from narrative's perspective) physical contact with Naruto. For example:

Nobody asked him to do these things. Sasuke chose so himself. Do panels like that prove he's gay? Not really, but it proves he's way more comfortable being in personal space of other men (Naruto only maybe?) than females (especially ones that hit on him). Of course, there's a whole matter of romantic attraction and emotional bonds. I think it's pretty much irrefutable that Naruto was the strongest bond Sasuke had during manga, beside family ones. I won't be going into where line between platonic and romantic bonds is drawn because that depends on person from person. But that line can easily blur with those two. If after last battle in valley of end those two had gradually gotten together, it won't be OOC. Even those that dislike the ship if were to objectively observe the development and emotional bond they'd come to a conclusion that it didn't come out of thin air. Once again, that emotional bond with Naruto and non-repulsion of physical contact with men by themselves don't have to mean Sasuke is gay but there's surely plenty more to support that claim than straight one. It'll simply make way more sense.

What I'm aiming for here is not that you can't headcanon him as straight, but that aggressively claiming he can't possibly be "anything other than straight" while there is no evidence for him being intrested in any woman, is heteronormative and hypocritical.
