It’s that time of the season again! Multinet is now recruiting more members! But, before we do so, we would like to take a moment to briefly explain a certain event within our community.
On August 5th, 2017, 3 individuals of the following aliases visited our server:
Moth (alias Luciel#6785 on Discord)
Ricky (alias ricky#4621 on Discord)
Ade (alias unknown#6601 on Discord)
These individuals came with the intention to undermine the community from the very beginning, as they spent most of the time first attempting to prove something that was public information everyone already knew (another account I use separate from what I use to RP) to dredge up history from another community I was removed from due to propagation of misinformation on their part. Despite this, I wanted to extend goodwill towards them and let bygones be bygones by telling them who I was since it was naturally impossible for them to know who I was immediately, and letting them participate in the community regardless. They would proceed to do the following:
Create a callout post regarding said misinformation to spam within the server itself to intimidate the users within to attempt to take down the community, under the guise of protecting minors
Proceed to mock and belittle the very same users for not immediately believing them by taking screenshots of their fear towards them infiltrating and spying on them (the ones most harmed by this being, ironically, minors)
Coax and muscle a bunch of minors to do their dirty work in propagating said post regardless of whether they believed it or of its contents
Due to this, all previous public invitations had been taken down a while back (which was one of their aims). Fortunately, nothing more actually came from it, and we still gained some new members regardless as well as continuing to be an active roleplay community, even with the throes of school coming along.
If you know of the individuals listed above, please be very cautious around them: They are likely screenshotting and sharing private and sensitive information within your own communities, regardless of who it may be, to fuel whatever toxic mentality they have.
Due to college eating up my free time and the advent of Hurricane Irma, I did not address this immediately. This is being addressed now for the sake of clarity to provide a simple answer to any recruits who may be off-put by the post, as this was already explained and resolved within the community in the same day it happened. Multinet is a community founded on honesty, communication, and fun; making sure that everyone is safe and enjoying their roleplay on their free time with no pressure nor necessary commitment unless they wish to pursue so.
Here are the changes to how this Tumblr will operate from here on out:
To join our community, you need to send a message through the tumblr messenger; not through asks. Your Tumblr needs to be public! You will be given a discord invite that is one use only afterwards.
Anonymous messages are now disabled. If you have any inquiries regarding any of this, you will need to tell me directly!
Any and all inquiries regarding this particular thing will be tagged #multidrama for those who don’t want to see anything unpleasant and just want to see the fun posts we have.
