Here's something fun: going back to the orthodontist the day after getting your braces because Kit woke up this morning and tried to rip them off your teeth.

A couple things:

Kit appeared in the headspace finally! And yes, he’s really really big. Tall and broad with a belly, like a football player. Blondish. White, again. We’ve got so many white alters. Probably because we grew up in a white family, but still. He’s much less intimidating now that I can see him. He’s got a nice smile. (this is good news)

This is the fifth or sixth guy this week on OKC who’s stopped messaging us because we put “DID system” on Miranda’s profile. Hooray for public acceptance. Gonna crawl back under my rock now. (this is bad news)

Miranda decided to hook up with a girl and Kit is apparently some sort of sex god. (this is... news?)

Some Extra Symptoms of DID

The list below details some symptoms that may accompany a diagnosis of DID.

Symptoms of DID are similar to those of several other physical and mental disorders, including substance abuse, seizure disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. Symptoms of DID can include the following:

Changing levels of functioning, from highly effective to nearly disabled

Severe headaches or pain in other parts of the body

Depersonalization (episodes of feeling disconnected or detached from one’s body and thoughts)

Derealization (perceiving the external environment as unreal)

Depression or mood swings

Unexplained changes in eating and sleeping patterns

Anxiety, nervousness, or panic attacks

Problems functioning sexually

Suicide attempts or self-injury

Substance abuse

Amnesia (memory loss) or a sense of “lost time”

Hallucinations (sensory experiences that are not real, such as hearing voices)

A person with DID might repeatedly meet people who seem to know him or her, but whom he or she does not recognize. The personal also might find items that he or she does not remember buying.

okay im not going to lie, sometimes I feel invalid for having a rather large system (20, possibly 21), so im just kinda curious as to the numbers of other people’s systems. reblog with how many are part of your system because i wanna get to know you guys better and also Id like to know if there are lots of systems as big as mine??

Being in front with him is like being on fifty drugs at a time. I don’t know whose thoughts are whose and it’s like dissociating and tripping at the same time. We’re gonna work on that.

When he takes over fully Miranda turns into an odd combination of grizzly bear/frat boy.

He’s reeeeeally aggressive most of the time but we’re not sure it’s something he can control. Like how Leia is/was a fight or flight reaction, I think he’s just “fight”.

I actually think he’s displaying really gatekeeperish behaviors.

He seems to like Story a LOT. I think she’s the only one he likes right now.

Story can control his temper. This is good to know.

He’s really hazy in the headspace. We’re gonna work on that.

Milo feels really threatened right now.

Also, I’ve been looking for pictures to use for everyone, and I’ve got some good ones for Charlie and Story (updated the about page) but Milo is SO HARD. 

Stock photos of tall mixed-race teenage boys with chin straps are hard to come by.

His name is Christian, according to Story (though she’s been calling him Kitty, because he reminds her of Sully from Monsters Inc). I think he’s taken a liking to her. I’m so glad I have a personable alter to take care of this stuff for me. 

They were co-con this morning and she talked to him, so she says I should let him co-front next time he tries. 

It’s worth a shot.
