Promo/Starter
Finally gotten this blog up to a satisfactorily functional form for the time being. Will be adding more to it as time goes on, including more muses and a fandom-specific canon and original muses’ page, and a verses page. For now though, this is just a temporary promo and starter post that I’ll reblog once or twice monthly. Like/reblog if you’re interested in a starter with any of my current muses.
While the majority of townsfolk gave the dark elf a wide berth, one tabaxi stared at her curiously across the way, blinking. He could sense the anxiety others felt around her, but he couldn't put his finger on why. He wasn't normally that into elves, but the darker mystique of the figure in question made him feel...afraid, but in a way that he enjoyed, for whatever reason. He couldn't look away from her, his tail flicking with intrigue.
The drow is too busy at first, trying to find that one Baator-damned shop-stall that was always being moved, to notice that stare. But with perhaps half a minute, she felt as though someone was watching her, prompting her to slow down. She tries not to make it obvious as to why she slowed down though, as she looked in the direction that she felt it coming, subtly and discreetly… Wait, a tabaxi? Why was a tabaxi looking at her? He? Is kinda cute... No, focus! She tries telling herself mentally, as she can't help but subtly redirect her walk towards him. Hmmm, on a second thought... Anything to beat this boring searching. Besides, he might know some things about this place... "Hey you! Yes you, Mister Friskytail, do you happen to know your way around here?"
Muselist Repost This is a recompilation of my older, expanded muselist posts from before, with some characters added or removed as I have changed tastes slightly with time. But most of the previous characters I've shared before still made the cut. But without further ado-.
Fandomless characters: - Aellopus Anemoia (Aello for short): Bookish and somewhat socially-awkward male harpy anthropologist, though he's confident on his career-path. Is sometimes a bit awkward about his status as a male of his kind. He is currently on a trip to different academical centers of learning, out to prove his mettle. - Frieda Nedelmir: Slightly eccentric and highly enthusiatic gnomish woman, a geologist that uses adventuring as an excuse to see the world and meet new people, in addition to study the geology and minerals of distant lands. She is setting up to be part of an expeditionary party to meet these ends. - Mylagarde Othallir (Myla for short): A grumpy and sullen, but golden-hearted fey woman that is an unconventional member of an unconventional species, this red-skinned elf-like woman is haunted by the legacy of being of a rare beautiful "haggish" fey species. But, this freelancing adventurer-mage refuses to let that past define her. - Tonelo: Outwardly, this swanfolk man, resembling just a humanoid black swan with clawed wings-arms one would expect, seems to only be just a wandering bardic healer and owner of a smaller houseboat for ferrying paying travelers to-and-throe. But this eccentric and playful gentleman is actually a sort of reaper that travels the waters of the world where death is strong, to comfort the dying and ensure peaceful passage for the spirits of the dead. - Milios Kharitonov: An eccentric and sometimes forgetful, but brilliant half-elven, half-human man. This arcane researcher, a fiery redhead with strange, but dashing flair, is an avid academical explorer of the mysteries of the universe. He is as skilled at innate magic as he is in learned magic, as well as swordplay. At remembering where he put his research notes? Not so much. But it's the thought and the spirit that counts! Fandom-specific/canon characters: - Spacewarp (Transformers): A boastful and prideful female Cybertronian with a spaceship alternate-mode by default. Good at what she does but prone to letting it go to her head. She has a strong wanderlust and curiosity, that drives her to use any excuse to be out and about the cosmos. Even if she aligns herself nominally with less savory sorts at times, despite her tendency towards heroism. - Miles "Tails" Prower (Sonic the Hedgehog, semidivergent/verse-dependent timeskip as an adult): A fairly seasoned adventurer and hero for his age, this intrepid young Fox-man is earning his own renown, on his own terms, outside of his reputation as Sonic's best friend. But he retains the same relationship and collaborative heroism with Sonic and the other older friends of his as he pushes forward. - Rozan (alternate take/rewrite of an obscure Godzilla character from an unused film script/concept): A strange visitor form another universe, Rozan is a female "Godzillasaurus" from a parallel Earth, where the kaiju species' populations are relatively more plentiful, and the ecosystems and non-kaiju species have adapted to this. Rozan, while warm and jovial underneath her facade, has become somewhat jaded and sarcastic after many experiences in a long war against extraterrestrial invaders. Including severe damage that has left her cyberneticized to a degree, But perhaps all she needs is the right help to open up a little.
(Reblogging with some more characters): Fandomless Characters: - Gerta Holberker: A fiery and vivacious (if a touch bristly and "hot-and-cold) dwarven woman, Gerta is a ranger specialized in mountainous regions and cave systems. Being a "caver" instead of a smith and a crafter, as most of her family are, makes her stand out among most outsiders' expectations of dwarves, but she tries to make this a positive thing despite it. Fandom-specific/canon Characters: - Tangle the Lemur (Sonic the Hedgehog, semidivergent/verse-dependent timeskip as an adult): As almost-always, rowdy and loud, Tangle is still kicking butts and taking names on adventures, but she's also been taking it slower at times, than when she was young. But it doesn't mean she's not full of energy!
(Some additional characters, just because) Fandomless Characters: Hundaroth: A jovial and bombastic, if haughty and proud blue dragon from a noble lineage, this slightly eccentric fellow, even if not always the sharpest blade in the armory, delights in making spectacles in the battlefield. He especially enjoys dropping in with... a draconic piledriver. Even if most of his appearances in conflicts are solely for the sake of getting attention as a "hero," deep down he is a truly good-hearted being. It might just take some help at first, to make show all the way through... Raulae Cladduis: A slightly cheeky and sassy dark-elven rogue with a strange magic patron in the shadows, Raulae is working her way up the ranks of noble-minded guilds as a heroic exception to (most outsiders') perceptions of drow as always-evil. Though she still has her moments of competitive big-headedness she fights to be more honorable than what most would see her as being. Fandom-specific/canon Characters: Velocity the Hedgehog (Sonic the Hedgehog, a character inspired by genderflipped takes of Sonic, but given a slight twist here): A descendant of a certain blue Hedgehog, some time from the same future as Silver, Velocity's lighter sky-blue fur and paler, minty-hued green eyes, clearly resembles her ancestor. With spunk and pomp, she is learning her way through and her legacy within the world. While she inherits her appearance, some of her attitude and for certain her superspeed from him, Velocity is both a rookie hero and hasn't fully honed her speed powers yet. She strives to master them, but feels a little pressured from inheriting a big heroic legacy on one end, and on the other not entirely fitting in among a world with psychic powers. But with her determination, snark and playfulness Vel is pushing through.

"Oyyy, I don' care if ye know Dorzi, but if ye donnae have my prior permit ta be here, then ye're not 'lowed ta be here! Scram!" The redheaded dwarf woman says, as she starts waving a big hammer around! Campsite not for every random strangers, goblin or otherwise!
She huffed again. "I found you without even trying. You can't hide, you're lost, and you're dangerously close to a 4OB encampment. Why shouldn't I kill you right now?" She then sniffed the air, her glare shifting to a befuddled scowl. She could tell something was going on in that mind of his, and she needed a brief moment to refocus. Her scent then would have indicated that, perhaps, she was just as flustered as she was beneath her rough facade...
Her hand was still on her hilt regardless. The fox would need to think fast. Despite her hulking frame, she wasn't slow to draw her sword. Close-quarters combat would be a death sentence for him.
"Aw shit, I'm getting rusty…" Seith says first, before he makes himself focus on the real concern. "Because I'm a non-combatant, and I came in peace!" Okay, that could've been said better... "I'm not sure if there's much use if I weren't taken alive anyhow, if I were to be a prisoner, I mean spy. Which I am not..." He was catching enough of her scent to know that she wasn't exactly immune to his charm(?) herself, as it were. Hopefully, his botched attempts at sounding suave and professional instead made it clear he wasn't a spy if he got this easily pressed by the simple presence of a hottie... "Ahem, I'm certain a strong gentlewoman as yourself would be more honorable than not, yes?" He says to her, trying to lean into the potential charm of his, when he has to erm, readjust his trousers again. If this kept on, well...
She grunted. "Look like a dog to me. You're in the middle of a warzone. Whoever told you to come here must have wanted your pelt. You a Durtalian spy?" She grabbed the hilt of her longsword threateningly, leaning closer to the fox-man and towering over him...
"I… whatever. Wait, I'm in the middle of-" He realizes that this might explain, some of the rubble he'd seen. Shortly before he finally found this orc woman. "I should've figured I was getting strung along by that 'guide'... Wait, no! I'm not a spy, especially not Durtal! I'm not even from theeerrrre-" He trails off as he seems to get... *entranced* by the orc lady's height and bulk. The fox-man blushes very much, at least from what the orc lady can see beyond his fur, as he starts fidgeting, and hitching his trousers up a little. As if fighting at something... "If I were a spy, you wouldn't know I was here, I swear." He says after an awkward moment, as he forces himself to focus and speak. "I was, am still, in need of some escort to a certain place... By someone who won't hoodwink me for sake of it." He says, adding the last part as mostly an aside to himself, while still fidgets with his clothes...
" Welcome to Hex's Emporium, if you need it i got it! especially if it makes things go boom... just don't ask where i got it--- its a trade secret "
"Are the good looks and the suave charm a trade secret of yours, too~?" A reddish-furred lupine woman with a familiar voice asks him, smirking, Before clearing her throat, and getting to business. She swore, her Pretender-frame always made her impulsive in this certain manner... "Pardon me, I forgot my manners. Do you have any remote machine in interfaces, for weapon systems?" She asks him, all the while waiting to see if he recognizes her...
"Close!~" The woman beamed. "I'm a kami! Its a japanese nature spirit/god!~" Because that totally clears things up. "Good catch on it ha! most folks don't put ta two togetha~"
"Ohhh!" The Lemur girl, for a brief moment, seems to halt in her enthusiasm, but then it rockets back up at hearing that the big doggish lady is a kami instead.
"OMILITERALGODDESS!" She says, almost squealing in amazement, as she starts to bounce in place. "I've never met a goddess before! Or at least, one that wasn't an eldritch being with evil plans, that me and my friends have had to beat up... Ahem." But once her realization and amazement wears off, Tangle gathers herself into a more composed, if still excited, form as she gives a curt bow and says, "What's yer name? I'm Tangle!" Extending a hand for her to shake!
The half-orc scratched his head. "What's Prydonian? Only thing that goes around here is Durtalian shillings. Anyway, maybe some mistakes are meant to be made. I was just about to leave, but now I'm glad that I stayed~. What say you we get you up to speed with a cup of mead~?"
That familiar magical buzzing appeared again, that time a bit more pronounced. The half-orc was simply oozing with charm, flashing his tusks in a smile, far from the typical threatening beast that Durtalian propaganda would have portrayed his kind as.
"It's someone or something from the country of Prydonia, ye barmy butterhead!" Gerta is getting bristly again, even as she is unable to (completely) resist this stranger's odd charm. Not very long in though, she can't resist this goof's silly grin... "Ahright, perhaps we can fraternize, if ye want ta have a drink with me, ye'll have slow down, or I won't be able ta focus!" She says at last, as she looks back at the half-orc man with the silliest combination of a pouty face and a "fighting the giggles" face one might find on a beautiful dwarven lady. She likely doesn't know how adorably silly she looks...
"You can change your..!" One can almost see her gears turning in her head, as she tries to understand what this even means. "How do you even do that? Is it some sorta magic..?" It doesn't take very long, before Tangle makes one connection-erm, jumps to a conclusion, as it were. Solely based on the lady's accent.
"Wait, are you like, some sort of yokai?" She says, going from confusion to amazement in almost a split second.
"Okay, sa! People were talking about puttin' mustard on hotdogs, and I was like 'that'd be weird on pizza', and so they were like 'oh do ya mean sausages' and I was like 'ain't that the same??'
And so someone was like 'oh ya a hot dog, and ya sometimes have a sausauge' and that is because I can change if I have a dick a nat-"
"Ohhh!" For a few seconds, the Lemur is simply processing what the large... human-like god-woman is saying, a big dorky grin on her face as she says "That makes sense, nowww-"
Then does a double take at those last words of the big lady's. "Wait, whaaat? You can do which to have the whatnow!?"
"What's all this talk about hotdogs, and sausages, and pizza? And why does some of it sound... flirty?"
Tangle says, as she tries to comprehend what she's even walking into. "And now it's making me hungry..."

"Mister, I hope that you know that no matter how handsome you are, you're still not getting those twenty crowns back from me!"
Grollor had found a letter on his table at the tavern. He asked the barmaid who left the note, and she pointed to a dwarven woman looking a bit peeved by something.
Was this just a dwarven way of flirting? He had no idea. Dwarves were found more in the northern part of Durtal, but Grollor had spent most of his time near the southern border. He could already tell that the woman was a feisty one...
He walked over to her and said, "I never had a crown because I was never royalty, but for you to think of me? Well, you spoil me~"
Unbeknownst to the green brute, a magical buzz filled the air between him and the dwarf...
Gerta was simply minding her business, after having given that letter to the barmaid to place at the table she thought that flirty half-elf man who lost a bet to her would be, when some goofy (but handsome) half-orc with an oddly-charming air to him, appears suddenly from the direction of the table it was left at... Oh no, the letter had been put at the wrong table, wasn't it? "Nooo, it wurn't meant for ye, ya big gahoot-" She says, exasperated but for some reason, finding it hard to be angry at him by very much. "And it's crowns as in the Prydonian crown coin, not a literal crown. Do ye know yer money?" She says, blushing as she slips into that thivk dwarven brogue in frustration. She seems to be trying to resist his strange charm, but failing. "Sorry, I meant to say, that letter was meant for someone else, but I put it on the wrong table, like a real numpty..." She admits.
The she-orc huffed and stared at the vulpine beastfolk. "What do you want from me, dog?" she demanded in a gruff voice.
The white-furred fox-man blushes, looking away for a moment upon realizing he forgot what he was going to ask her, as he got caught up in... admiring her. "Ohhh, hi..! I'm not a dog, but that aside, ahem-" He says, clearing hsi throat as he forces himself into a more business-like composure. "I heard that if I want someone with knowledge of this region, that I should come here..?" He asks, as he steadies himself. "Though for some reason, I feel like I might've been given only half the information I need..." He admits, partly to himself... He's so embarrassed.
(Just for the heck of it, I'm feeling like test-running a dwarven ranger muse of mine on here, before I add her profile in-full. So like this post for a tsundere redhead named Gerta in your asks.)
