In my experience duck tape works for a cheap short term fix but i only kept em for running around in the woods.

Until u can save up enough to buy a really good pair of work shoes that'll be worth while in use and maintenance, your cycle of buying a pair of cheap shoes that'll fall apart after a month with only a hope of a few more days in a diy project of gorilla glue and tears has no end.

Hey! This shelter is part of a project called RainCity, based in BC, Canada.

This is just one of the main ways they are trying to improve conditions for Unhoused people. They not only provide these sorts of shelters for people but also a variety of other services designed to provide people “opportunities to step out of survival mode, focus on things that are important to them, and strengthen connections.”

Other projects include:

transitional housing

long-term housing

LGBTQ2S+ housing for youth

housing for women-led families

outreach based housing programs

Check out their website, they have a bunch of cool projects and honestly a really well thought out approach to finding housing for everyone that acknowledges there are many different definitions of what that looks like.
