i. i am not egyptian, but i have done years of research on ancient egypt because it has been an interest of mine since childhood. i may say something that is no longer accurate, and that is because with more evidence and archaeological findings, more proof will come out and change how historians understand how things were back in ancient times. i may not know the most updated information on some things... but did you know the great pyramids have been around since the 4th dynasty? did you know hatsh.epsut and ki.ng t.ut were in the same dynasty (18th), which means both are older than ramesses i and ii (19th dynasty)? my goal is to write a character that is fun and combines my love for making OCs with my love for ancient egypt. i research things when i can and update what i know when i find new information, such is the scientific way.
ii. i am permanently low activity and sporadic. i'm moving to a new state altogether and will be starting college again after a long break in hopes to achieve my doctorate. i will be very busy and will have to focus on school and other irl matters first. i am also autistic, so my priority is being mentally and physically healthy; i may not always have energy or time to do hobbies. please do not rush me... it is very hard to avoid burnout, and that will only make me extremely avoidant.
iii. i prioritize people who i speak and interact ooc with. i want friends and i want to feel comfortable with those i write with. i love enthusiastic people and love talking about our muses and random scenarios, even if not written as a thread. i really prefer people who are open to communication and won't ghost me. if you feel like i'm too much, please either KINDLY let me know or hard block me. ignoring my attempts at reaching out only creates conflict and makes a bigger problem. i also prefer partners who don't make me initiate everything, such as threads, sending memes, and plotting conversations. if you want to plot, please have at least something in mind or add onto what i come up with. if i feel like i cannot get anywhere, i will stop reaching out and probably hard block you. this is a hobby, yes, but it is a collaborative hobby on a social media website. please communicate and converse with me if you have a problem, but keep it respectful, please.
iv. triggers of this blog include: murder, death, corpses/mummies, mental health, and unhealthy family dynamics. please tag anything smutty, sexual, or suggestive (jokes are okay but flirting and touching and otherwise no thanks) -- including lead ups to sexual threads, such as making out and groping and what have you. i don't want to exhaust myself explaining the ins and outs of why it makes me uncomfortable but if you don't tag it, i will hard block you.
v. yes, please send memes and asks. you don't have to ask beforehand and i will always be happy to take them. anon will be turned on and off at my discretion. reaching out like this is absolutely appreciated and i love returning the favor. romantic memes will probably be off of the table due to nebty's age (~18-19). i will not argue about how she's "technically of legal age"; she has teen in her age's number, and she feels like one to me still. she's my OC, i can feel how i like. bottom line: not interested in romance with her. any other relationships are open and i gladly will accept them.
vi. i don't have a live action faceclaim and do not plan on searching for one. faceclaims are very difficult for me to find and stress me out because i have specific visions that often aren't depicted / popular / underrepresented in media available to me. i will have art of nebty eventually, and this is all i can offer.
vii. have fun, don't godmod, and don't spread hate. any discrimination will not be tolerated, especially misogyny, racism, lesbophobia, and transphobia. let's have fun and play barbies.
It’s a fire extinguisher. It’s bright red and heavy and that’s all it took for her to take interest in it. Thankfully she hadn’t learned how to work the spray on it.
“I gave it to myself,” Nebty corrects, “I took it from its place out of the closet of supplies because I was boreds.” She sniffs and dejectedly kicks a stapler over towards him, another trophy of hers. Unfortunately, she learned quickly that it was not fun nor a toy.
“I also took this thing and it bit me. I do not like it and now my finger hurts. I hope it is not venomous, but I pried its tooth out of my flesh. It is very stupids to mess with me!” The pharaoh sighs, brows furrowing. “I want to go outsides. Why can’t I? This false sun is not good.”
Nebty looks up at the lights overhead, shaking her fist with a scowl.
i am the one who made me. i built myself as i wished, according to my heart.

Many theories have come about Khamerernebty since her tomb was discovered. Whispers about her pristine condition echo through the halls of the museum much like the halls of her palace over two thousand years ago...
Basic Information:
Name: Khamerernebty (pron. Kuh-meer-uh-nety)
Epithets: Appearance of the beloved of the Two Ladies, one great of praise, the very image of youth and rebirth, Favored Greatly by the Gods...
Aliases: Lovingly known as Nebty nowadays.
Age: Reigned during the 18th Dynasty, approximately 2,125 years old. Egyptologists estimate she was no older than 21 when she died. Mentally and physically of that of an older teen / young adult, around 18-20 years old.
Gender + Pronouns: Cisgender female, uses she/her, but male titles and descriptors were used when she became pharaoh for symbolic and ceremonious purposes. Some depictions do show her with the false beard worn as part of pharaonic attire.
Occupation: Previously, pharaoh. Currently, a living museum exhibit who still acts like she's a pharaoh.
Originally from: Waset aka Luxor, Egypt. Or Thebes, if you’re Greek or something.
Currently found: In your local history museum! Come visit, she's bored.
Known languages: Middle Egyptian / Ancient Egyptian. Can read and write hieroglyphs. Knows enough English to converse, although she still makes mistakes and tends to incorrectly pluralize words. She cannot read or write English, given that she learned it audibly.
Physical Appearance:
Overall: Genetically similar to other mummies found belonging to the Thutmoside Dynasty group. Found to be above average height for women at the time, being around 5'5".
Eyes: Dark brown, often adorned with kohl and other eye makeup.
Hair: Usually shaven / kept short to allow for wigs or headdresses. It is noted that she had visible hair when her mummy was discovered, suggesting she was assassinated before she could shave it again.
Scars: Several hidden under clothes, headdresses, or wigs. They mostly come from the mummification process and her murder... which produced a very difficult wound on the back of her head to cover up. Technically not a scar, but still a characteristic of note.
Dress / Fashion: Wears period-accurate replicas given to her courtesy of the museum. Her clothing is made of light, breathable fabrics as close as they could be to the originals. Tends to switch headdresses or other accessories on a whim; she tends to favor the khepresh, or blue crown.
Miscellaneous Details: Has an overbite. Is right-handed.
Mental Characteristics:
Personality / Traits: Nebty fights in a constant battle between being uncharacteristically mature yet too childish for her age, most likely a result of her having to take a position of power at such a young age and having to ‘figure it out’. She wants to look and feel presentable at all times and will become very embarrassed and isolate herself if she feels something is flawed. She is still in touch with her previous religious beliefs, brings up the gods often. Believes in curses and will probably curse somebody or something she has an issue with, most often being technology in the museum. Notably, she does not speak of her family very often.
Habits: Nebty tends to speak in an overly polite and astute manner, which borders on verbose at times. On occasion, she’ll speak more casually, usually if upset, bored, or excited. Uses ‘Lady’ or ‘Man’ as a term of endearment / respect / reference to those close to and often older than her in appearance; will address people as such. Modern references and jokes will fly over her head and she takes things literally. Likes showing off her exhibit and items she still has with her. Complains about missing her servants and many objects she was supposed to be buried with; struggles with adjusting to not getting her way.
The reign and family of Neferkare-Khety I have been considered quite curious, if not somewhat humorous, since the discovery of records describing them alongside the uncovering of Khamerernebty's rushed-to-be-put-together tomb.
Neferkare-Khety's reign was marked by misfortune and mismanagement. He himself was markedly eccentric, already drawing disdain from members of the court, servants, and the average citizen alike. Neferkare possessed a mindset that he was different enough from his predecessors that he could functionally change everyone's way of life. He was above everyone; he was pretty much a new god that would never know how his hubris would affect him, mostly because hubris was Greek, and he didn't speak that. His wife was the evil mastermind, guiding him with her honeyed words and strategies. Some would argue she was puppeteering him purposefully to his demise so that she could swoop in and claim power to rule for herself. What little about her remained described her as aloof and cold, much like the desert at night.
Unfortunately, neither of them had any male heirs by the time either of them died, given as all three of their sons died in a series of bizarre events. The eldest's egotistical match between himself and a hippo in the Nile ended with not many remains to be mummified. The middle son choked on a grape he caught in his mouth, which legends say the youngest son ruptured some organ from laughing at. This left Khamerernebty an only child for a few years, where she dealt with tumultuous interactions between her parents and everyone else, really. But she was around the age of seven, so it didn't matter that much. Instead, the record holds that she was quiet, but bright and a lover of animals. It has been noted that she ended up with a large collection of pets over her childhood and reign.
Neferkare may have made several poor decisions, but he did invest in Khamerernebty's education. Perhaps it was the lack of sons that spurred him into trying to coax her into being a scholar, but it somewhat worked. Precocious and a little nosy as one could be, Khamerernebty loved to peer over the shoulders of scribes and read what they were recording. Sometimes, she'd copy them for practice. A baby sister came along, taking her mother in exchange, and Khamerernebty was upset for about six months before her father grew ill and died unexpectedly as well. She was around nine years old, but she didn't get to be a normal child anymore after that. All the preparation and lessons given by both parents, such as being intimidating, sounding smart, and having a commanding presence, were about to come in handy.
Khamerernebty felt woefully unprepared for such a role as pharaoh, but the child king couldn't say no to it, because that was the familial duty and she grew up having to hear about it all the time. This meant she had to be louder and prouder and not stay out the way for once. Her first acts were to undo everything her father had done, which did gain her plenty of favor. She just about smothered in the gifts showered upon her by grateful citizens, but she survived. As she grew older, she became fond of chariots and was quite athletic. She had a deadly glare and an even deadlier aim with her bow and arrow; she excelled in hunting and the few battles she participated in. But she wasn't just all about warfare, in fact, she managed to charm her way through improving diplomatic relations.
While this is all exceedingly positive, unfortunately, advisors and servants alike grew tired of her intense change in demeanor, finding her to be far more childish than her father. This made sense, as she was a child fighting to focus and fix an entire kingdom, but maybe they forgot that. Khamerernebty could pout and throw tantrums, and she could hold grudges and spout curses towards people who upset her. She could be confused, but who could blame her? Terrible question, as she was assassinated by an advisor after she was distracted by some frogs she was enamored with. Whacked in the back of the head, given a nice burial, grieved over, and then forgotten about for over two thousand years, where she feels extreme panic and she can't move and she tosses and turns and eventually can move her limbs and open her eyes and pry her jaw open.
Khamerernebty lied alone in her sarcophagus, cozily tucked away in her exhibit for several years before she felt confident enough to wrench open the lid and peek her head out, much to the horror of a janitor who happened to only turn around after she ran face first into the glass and got to practice her English in her first greeting in centuries. Now, she's become a beloved fixture in the museum, even if she continues her previous antics and wild changes in behavior that she had in her last life. She's close with a few people, mostly the museum's Egyptolgist, as he understands her on a different level than most. Notably, she does not speak of her family, although she secretly wishes she knew what happened to all of her stuff. And her sister.
