Once the private home of the Raymond and Mildred Pitcairn family, Glencairn serves as a museum of religious art and history, honoring the spiritual tradition...
This 30-minute, award-winning documentary film, "Embracing the Sacred: The Story of Glencairn Museum," features spectacular aerial photography of Glencairn, Cairnwood, and Bryn Athyn Cathedral, rare archival footage, and historic photographs.
Something for #SelfieSunday. This clay figurine of a female musician in Glencairn's Asian Gallery dates to 7th-century China (early Tang Dynasty). Food, articles of daily life, and ceramic representations of people were often included in tombs, along with anything else considered necessary for the afterlife.

In the first chapter of the biblical book of Genesis, God created man and woman on the sixth day of creation. This and other scenes from the creation story are depicted in the “Days of Creation” fireplace arch in Glencairn Museum's upper hall. In the Glencairn relief, a man and woman are the central focus of the composition; they are shown at the top center of the arch, kneeling beneath a fruit-bearing tree in the Garden of Eden.
