a lady’s maid of virtue (iona) who lived a stodgy life, far too obsessed with pursuing “goodness” in want of heaven. even going so far as to decline a romantic confession from the woman she loved: her very own employer (ettie). after falling to mindless crossfire several days after refusing to elope, she was resurrected for reasons unknown. and now stalks her old love as a “guardian angel”, murdering any potential suitor of ettie’s that would do her wrong.

some obby sketches & a possible weapon design? debating whether its an authentic gem weapon or tech manufactured by homeworld. the gauntlet disrupts a gems projected form by turning into a black statue for a limited amount of time. obsidians are Gem Regulators, a position created and given to the newly obtained gem breed after the rebellion. obbys are empaths and often supervise missions, to make sure all units tow the line and further indoctrinate gems as necessary. they also make for expert interrogators.

eat your heart out, hardy boys. move over nancy drew. did the boxcar children solve mysteries? what did the boxcar children do? doesn’t matter, there’s a new detective boy in town.

obsidians were the result of gem colonization on an alien planet, whose inhabitants possessed an empathic symbiotic link to their planet. after the organic life had been eliminated on the battlefield, the planet itself grew black and cold. yielding an unusual breed of gem. 

obsidians serve all of the 3-4 courts, with varying guises - but are favored by blue diamond.
