Hey there fellow Peridot fans,

I am going to make it very clear that this blog is fan made, and that nothing I say here is canon in any way. I have been avoiding certain topics here because I didn’t want to start any drama.

But I still got drama. I suppose that’s to be expected here, but I have been going through a lot of crap recently, and quite frankly I am losing patience. As I have said, I am doing my best, I’m trying not to freak out. But that’s very hard for me to do.

Reasons Why Pearl Is A Lesbian And Shipping Her With Male Characters Is Wrong

1: Pearl doesn't have a canon sexuality! She is a agender rock, asshole! Fuck off, let me do what I want! For something to be canon it doesn't have to be out right said. Pearl, when singing the song It's Over Isn't it said that many men came and wanted Rose. If Pearl liked men she'd feel an attraction to at least one of them, but she didn't. She didn't feel anything. Pearl only ever felt attraction towards a women and never a man. Oh, nice using a thing Rebecca used to say for an argument! Rebecca now says that gems are a one gendered female species, they're sexless not genderless. And I won't let you do what you want because it clearly makes lesbians uncomfortable. You are a homophobe and you are taking the only lesbian character in the show and making her like men.

But you know what, I wouldn’t mind if the episode focused more on their relationship. Hell, I would be happy if they formed Opal and stayed fused for the rest of the episode for whatever reason. I like seeing these two interact in a positive way

What I find hilarious is that a big part of the fandom seems to think that if two characters love each other, it MUST be romantic love or else they shouldn’t be talking to each other at all. And… it just doesn’t make sense. Family love exists. Platonic affection exists. Friendship exists. And none of these forms of love are in any way less important than romantic love. I don’t get why the fandom just can’t understand this

I agree, they just can’t hang out because they are good friends people will make this stuff out to be romantic when Amethyst and Pearl act like sisters. 

And I honestly think it’s great they’re hanging out since they just patched up their relationship. Shippers will just see this episode just for pearlmethyst though
