For those interested, so far I found three ways to make gingham ! First one is using diamong instead of the classical square. The shapes are not like super neat, but the main advantage is that you can use more contrasting colors. Second one is doing it pixel by pixel and it comes out really nice ! And last one is two pixel wide squares but you have to keep all the colors very close in tones otherwise the game will make the shape round, so less constrast but it works nicely if you want a pastel style I suppose~
