in general i'm anti santa claus for many many reasons (not totally judging other people i just don't like being involved in raising kids on santa) but i have a fond 'santa secret' memory which is that i went to a Jewish preschool and i was the only gentile kid in the whole school and apparently the teachers told all of my classmates that it was very important not to blow the whole santa thing for me. and not a single kid broke. i can't believe it. i don't even remember anyone getting silly like 'i have a seeecreeettt i can't telll youuuu.'

have you ever worked with kids? i have. they cannot keep secrets. in fact my approach would have been to not mention santa at all and hope it never came up. but my classmates all made a solemn vow and they pulled it off.

you couldn't get an office of 40 years olds to do that.
