I created a little Notes app table of tv shows and movies for my mom to watch, listing the channel or streaming service they’re on so she can keep track, but she never remembers to check it so I also have to tell her on calls YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS then I follow it up with texts. This week it’s The Head (of course) but also The Dry. I just really love The Dry. Everyone read The Dry series and/or watch The Dry movies so they’ll make the third one for me.

I wish I kept better track of where I hear about books because while reading Duplicate Keys I kept being like “it’s so good, who told me about it”, and near the end I finally remembered that when did my wayback machine deep dive into Mindy Kaling’s old blog (no I don’t remember why) I saw a post recommending it. Anyway, it’s really good! And these covers are far more interesting than the modern, boring cover!

Also I think you can really tell my mood by how much effort I’m willing to put into taking pictures of anything. So like, not great, but I’m working on it!

More vest progress! Body is done, still need to do the armholes and buttonband. By the time it’s finished and blocked there should be a bit more ease, then I can obsess over what buttons to get.

Finally watching season three of The Head and oh my god even if no season captures the ridiculous magic of season one (to rewatch asap) I still love this show so much.

So happy to learn that my boss DID give out my personal cell number last week when asked and I think she should be very happy that it was not used because I would be big mad about it rather than little mad but hiding it well.

My phone is always on silent and screen and almost no calls get through unless they’re like from my mom, so I doubt I’d have gotten it anyway, but still. Boundaries!

I finally started listening to Unsupervised instead of just seeing random clips on instagram and I’m having a lot of fun and can’t wait to get to this episode. They had me from episode one with “The only person that can hold a secret is yourself, and the UConn women's basketball team.”

I live my on-site days dangerously.

I started retaking hair pills and they’re breaking me out and I guess I can either have more hair or have a chin that doesn’t look like a nightmare.

Where does anyone buy jewelry anymore? If you (me) just woke up one day and decided you needed a signature necklace or three and maybe wanted to get back into wearing earrings, where would you look that wouldn't be super expensive or an estate sale?

I have no style to try to match to at this point so I'm just trying to look at anything that looks interesting.

I’ve read The Uninvited before but have zero memory of it other than that it’s pretty different from the movie (which is a favorite of mine) and I want to reread it for Halloween vibes to counter my summer bummer mood. BUT it’s been sitting on my bedside table for a week while I’ve been reading other things instead and I’ve had the Alanis song stuck in my head on what feels like a neverending loop so I really need to read it and put it back on the shelf to make it stop.
