♘:Cuddling in a blanket fort (Peter?)

“You hung the stars for me.”

“You sound surprised.” Peter twisted a little on his back to study Lambda. The imp’s red eyes were trained on the makeshift heavens; patchwork in their pale pinks and chiffon champagnes; all strung together above by twine and with care, stretched across borrowed poles in the form of walking sticks and marshmallow stokers and anything else spare Peter could find to make a castle out of dreams. Their fortress was a soft one of a dozen different cushions and throws, and Peter had painstakingly woven lights between the skeleton of their palace, filling its insides with light in the form of Christmas decorations; light-up flamingos, tiny palm trees that glowed, dangling stars, too many plastic moons, effervescent fake fireflies, and glow-in-the-dark galaxies. All around them swirled the vortex of lights joined by a kaleidoscope of shapes from a mobile; the spinning box of shadow-casters making wonders dance across the walls of their safe space. Everything was warm and smelled vaguely of cinnamon, and Lambda’s golden hair was all tangled with his scarlet tresses, the two of them clasping hands and looking at the lights.

Well.

Lambda continued to look at the lights.

Peter continued to look at her.

“How long did this take you?” Lambda asked at last, her free hand raising to touch one of the insipid pink flamingos. Peter half-smiled; not his usual cocky look at all, but one of vague uncertainty--it was a bit like flying for the first time, every time he caught her off-guard. It was a swoop in the stomach followed by a rush of pure joy, and he drifted a little off the ground because of it, propelled by a cloud of contentment. She absently tugged him back down, still dreamily examining the tapestry of color woven out of gleaming and dreaming all around them.

“Not long at all,” said Peter honestly. 

“Everything goes faster when you’re having fun.”

Who’s more likely to find who wearing their clothes?: I feel like they all trade off. Or they used to, until Rielle caught Damien mockingly flaunting one of her expensive bodices and promptly threw him into the thickets of the manor grounds bare-ass naked. He learned not to touch her clothes after that, and just put up with her taking his from thereon out.Who initiates hand holding?: I just want you to imagine Rielle sliding between Damien and Eddie, who are walking in sulky silence, and putting one of her hands in each of their own. And they just keep going, together, a little less tense than before.Who likes having their hair washed by who?: All I can picture is Eddie trying to take a relaxing shower followed by high-pitched screaming as Rielle appears behind him and is like “you missed a spot”. Who likes to slow dance?: I think Damien is the one who has the softest spot for this. But also Rielle and Damien teaching Eddie how to slow-dance. Rielle teaching him to lead and Damien teaching him how to follow so Eddie ends up the most versatile dancer. Muse that’s more likely to fall asleep with their head in the others lap?: Eddie is the one who falls asleep on Rielle and Damien most often. A collective keep-your-distance moment wherein they respect one another until the unexpected emotional outpouring has stopped. This is usually followed by alcohol and a movie of some kind, comfort food, or trying to make one another laugh again.What would they be like as parents?: goodbye child enjoy the fiery pits of hell. Eddie, weirdly enough, is the only one among them fit to be a parent, and that’s telling you something. What would they have been like as childhood sweethearts?: ...Rielle shoving Damien into the dirt and picking fights with him, Damien doodling Eddie and Rielle in his notebooks, Eddie being confused, conflicted, and ignoring both of them unless they have cigarettes or alcoholic/drug contraband, probably. Until they hit senior year and suddenly realize they don’t ever want to be without one another, that is. He argues it’s because he’s cold, but Who initiates hand holding?: Definitely Schmen because Dean would be visibly romantic if the world was ending. Who’s more likely to find who wearing their clothes?: I’m trying to imagine Beck pulling off Maximilliano’s clothes and it is hilarious. Not pictured: Maximilliano laughing hysterically at the sight of Beck in golden balloon pantaloons.Who initiates hand holding?: I like to think that sometimes it’s Milliano. Because I don’t see Beck as the type to be sappy like that; but Milliano sometimes panics and needs an extra anchor to remind him it’s okay.
