So Makoto, how is it learning to become a swim instructor? Have you started classes yet? Do Rei, Nagisa and Haru help out at all?

"It's going really well!  A bit different than I expected, though.  So many classes don't really pertain to swimming or teaching, but I try to find a way to make them relate to my goal," he said with a smile.

"Rei-chan and Nagisa-kun are still busy with high school, and Haru-chan is off training most of the time.  He comes over whenever he can, though."

Makoto handed Haru a nicely wrapped present. It wasn't very big, but Makoto hoped that his friend would like the goggles that were inside. "Merry Christmas, Haru-chan!" - muscle-bound-backstroker

Haru blinked as he was handed a neatly wrapped box. He shouldn’t have been surprised, Makoto always made a point to give him gifts on his Birthday and at Christmas; but somehow he was always rather touched by the mans thoughtfulness.

He smiled softly as he opened the gift, the goggles were a perfect match for his favourite jammers.

"Thank you, Makoto." Haru then handed over a gift to Makoto, inside of which was a leather bound notebook for his note taking at University and a little orca plush that said ‘good luck’ on it.

Makoto's eyes widened slightly in surprise as Haru handed him a gift as well.  "Haru, you didn't have to..." he mumbled as he took the present.  He unwrapped it carefully and examined his new possessions.  A small smile appeared on his face when he saw the words on the whale.  "Thank you, Haru-chan, I love them," he said as he set the orca down and flipped through the pages of the notebook.  "I'll be sure to use this in class."  He couldn't help but to stick his nose into the pages and take a deep breath, smelling the paper and glue of the book.  He was glad he had something to remind him of Haru while he was away.
