It was only Toni and the silence as she waited for the boys to return. She could hear them talking from the other room, but couldn’t exactly make out what they were saying. She was redirected from her thoughts once the phone had gone off. Toni couldn’t believe the Bulldog actually thought he had a chance with her or that Toni truly believed that she wanted a Bulldog over a Southsider. He was making it too easy. 

topaz: we’ll see about that.

topaz: you’ve got 15 min. don’t keep me waiting. 

Toni didn’t even bothering get up once the boys finally came back in the room. She figured they had made the plan without her involved, that was until Sweetpea tossed the jacket her way. There wasn’t anything to say, she could see how upset he was. “You know he’s not gonna calm down,” Toni spoke back to Fangd, only loud enough for him to hear. She pushed the hoodie over her head, looking back to the phone to remember what she had said. “The Old Lighthouse by Sweet River,” Toni responded, forcing @pea-serpent​ take the phone as she passed him to exit the trailer.

Sweet pea knew his hot heat was thinking for him, making him just say the first thing that came to mind and Fangs was write but he was still in a huff. “It’s what he deserves, Fangs. And now he’s just getting free shots at Toni.” He was now only in the mood to fight and Reggie sadly happened to be his target. As he stepped out, watching Toni exit without a word he could only roll his eyes. “What? Now you’re not going to say anything?” She was the one who jumped on changing the plans too quickly just telling them to trust her. “Yeah, and what do I need this for? You’re the one who’s going to record it.” He called to her before looking down at the messages feeling just as fired up as before. “Oh, now I’m really just going to beat the shit out of that dog.” 

He turned to Fangs and and shook his head before slipping out of the trailer and throwing his hood over his head. “Are you going to be okay without that?” Sweet pea asked noticing the boy had ditched the crutches. “Are we driving there or not?”

As he received the text message, Reggie practically sprinted towards the stairs to grab his car keys. His parents wouldn’t be very happy if they found that he left so late at night. However, he wasn’t going to let them affect him tonight. Reggie Mantle was on his way to get lucky tonight, and he was going to let anybody stop him. Rushingly he sent a quick reply to his phone as he ran to his car, putting the location into his gps on his phone. Reggie: Be there in 10. Reggie: And Topaz prepare for the best night of your life 😉 As he made his way to the location, Reggie grew somewhat suspicious of the location but put it in the back of his mind as he figured that this was just part of the Southside. Plus, he figured the best part was the fact that Reggie wouldn’t have to associate with the girl very long since it was a one night stand. Wouldn’t this at least score him tags with the bulldogs hooking up with some Southsider too?

“Then talk me through it. What’s it feel like when you’re coming down? She didn’t know much about jingle jangle withdraw, but from what she’s heard in group it seemed like it varied by every person. 

Toni raised an eyebrow, leaning a bit further listening to every word. “Wait, so does everyone in your house but her know?” she asked. She couldn’t help but feel empathy for Reggie’s sister. Her not knowing what’s going on is only going to make it worst once she figures everything out. Though she really didn’t have enough room to talk considering no one knew she was here besides the members and the Dr.  “No offense, but you live in a nice house in one of the richer parts of Riverdale with both your parents and you’ll never having to want anything. So forgive me for not understanding why your parents would be so bad.”

‘What’s it feel like coming down?’, Reggie stated, repeating her questioning mainly to himself before giving it deep thought., ‘Well, it’s like my entire body is being ripped in two. It’s not a pleasant feeling, or maybe it feels like you’re being held under water by somebody after freely swimming around. The mood swings are the worst.’ The truth behind many of Reggie’s violent tendencies could be blame on his jingle jangle withdrawals.

 ‘The only reason my parents know is because they caught me trying to take it.’, he replies vaguely, growing rather uncomfortable around the subject. There was no denying that Reggie adored his younger sister with all his heart, but the image of having her know the truth is what was driving him mad. He couldn’t stand to see the look of disappoint on her face. ‘It’s not as cracked up as it’s to be.’, He mumbled, looking away from her.

Winnie was very accustomed to feeling superior in most situations. That dominance stemming from her never ceasing yearn for control. Whether it be in sex or her day to day life, the young woman seemed to be quite strong willed. In times like these, with Reggie, it seemed she took on a part of herself that was much like a siren. And on this evening, the pretensious athlete was the one she had locked beneath her. No words were to be spoken as she allowed herself to fall into his touch. The tattoo chair was not an ideal place for something like this to go down, though the brunette had no intention of stopping just yet. Underneath her, Reggie felt powerless but an excitement was building up in his stomach. Though this was the foreign territory for the male..he wasn’t going to make it seem like it. Reggie Mantle was nothing without his ego, and he was fully experienced in this category. 

 With a small groan from his mouth, he moved their lips together, gripping her shirts tightly as he moved their hips together in a systematic pattern. His mind was growing dizzy from the amount of pleasure he was getting. He wanted to switch the position desperately to show her just how dominant he could be, but his mind was going elsewhere with his thoughts. Just help me lay it out.” She said as she went to dump out the bag, letting the tent and poles all fall out onto the ground along with a paper telling them what to do. “It says to lay out the tent and feed the labeled poles through the loops…” She said holing one of the poles up. 

‘Oh, baby girl. I think you need to give me more credit where it’s due.’, he chuckled at her before shaking his head, ‘Reggie Mantle could settle down if he wanted too, but I’m a stallion that can’t be tamed. But my girl is being quite feisty today.’ For some reason, anytime Reggie was friends with females they always seem to have a flirtationship—but that could also be the fact that he wanted to sleep with majority of them too. ‘Oh please, Caldwell. I don’t need to stand around and look pretty. I naturally was born this way.’, he scoffed, as he went to pick up a pole for the tent. ‘You know if the tent doesn’t work out, we could always just cuddle naked.’, he smirked, reaching down to snatch the directions from her., ‘I’m the man, I get to call the shots.’ Reaching down, he grabbed one of the labels pole, and looked confused., ‘Where the hell is the other one?’, he mumbled annoyed.

“That’s an understatement,” Toni spoke rolling her eyes. Her eyes gazed over him, trying to see if there was any true effect that was overwhelming his body. “I can see your hand fidgeting. Withdraw or are you wanting more?” she asked bluntly. There was no easy way to ask. For some reason she always got partners going through their withdraw symptoms as if she was equipped to be helpful. Sure she sold jj before, but the only drug she’d ever use was alcohol and even that wasn’t a lot. 

Toni nodded, “Good. Then be that rock for her. Or she’ll end up here like me having to deal with people pitying her and feeling sorry. Don’t do that to her.” The warning was stern, but Reggie needed to hear it. Yes, addiction was hard to overcome, but what it does to families is almost impossible to mend. “You know I have a first name? It’s pretty nice, got it for my birthday,” she laughed trying to lighten the conversation even a little bit. “I’m just saying you don’t have to be Mr. Perfect with all your shit together here. What’s going on?” she asked referring to the pressure.

Reggie knew that Toni was blunt, however her question caught him off guard for a moment. Shaking his head, he let out a simple sigh before replying, ‘A bit of both.’ He figured being truthfully rather than lying would make it easier for him. There was no denying that vulnerability wasn’t Reggie strongest trait. It was something that he needed to work on. He nodded as he agreed with her.

 ‘Yeah, she’s definitely my rock but she has no idea about my addiction.’, he mumbled, more to himself than to her., ‘I’d prefer it keep it that way.’ A bit of guilt and rage built up in Reggie’s stomach as her warning. He couldn’t help how overprotective he could be over his baby sister---though it could be seen as overbearing at times. ‘Yeah, I know your name, Toni.’, he laughed, shaking his head with a small smile. ‘I’m far from. Mr. Perfect, I can tell you that. It’s just I don’t think anybody understands how rough it is trying to be the perfect kid.’, he responded, sighing at himself, ‘I’m an asshole, and I know this but dealing with parents like mine…it just makes it easier. ‘

Toni didn’t expect Sweetpea to be happy about her decision, but she didn’t think he’d storm off either. Red flag number one, he called her Topaz instead of his usual Tiny or babe. Red flag number two, his face was stoic though you could see the anger in his eyes. She had to think quick on her feet otherwise they’d lose their chance. She rolled her eyes reading Reggie’s response. She wish her boyfriend would have stayed in the room to help her figure out what to say, but instead it was just silence.

Topaz: Don’t get too cocky, Mantle, but from I’ve heard is you’re the right person to get under. 

Topaz: You’re not embarrassed of being seen in public with a snake? Or maybe you’re just scared you can’t handle me…

She felt sick having to flirt with Reggie, but if it made it easier for the boys to be able to get to him then she was willing to do it. “He’s been trashing me since I walked through those double doors. It won’t be anything new.” She nodded to Fangs, hoping that he could do something to calm @pea-serpent​ down when they went alone together in the other room. Toni stared at the phone a few times, but just put it facedown on the table. Instead, she just sunk into the couch hoping either of them would feel better towards her when they came back. If it wasn’t, it was off to the drive in.

 Sweet pea had leaned against a wall, his arm folded tight against his chest. “You know what I want to do? How about we get a gun pointed at him have him no what it feels like. Then just beat the shit out of him without Weatherbee stepping in to protect his mutt and his school. He at least deserves that.” Despite the fact it wasn’t Reggie’s gun that was fired it was his that they all had to see when Fangs was hurt. and that still was not something Sweets would ever let live down. He was talking out of anger though. “Yeah I can give her a chance but what do you think this is for Mantel? Another notch on his belt, how do we know he’s not already spreading this around to his dogs? Her running off to him… what they could be saying about her now. She could have used anybody else’s name, Fangs.” 

 He took in a sharp breath and pushed forward. “Look, we can just use a few black hoodies and jeans. I’m sure we have black bandannas to put over our faces. Put the hoods up and no one can tell it’s us in the dark.” He said reaching for one of the hoodies he had and slipping it on. He grabbed another for Toni before walking back out. “That was a bad choice and you know it.” He said looking at her as he held out the jacket. He might go with the plan for now but he didn’t have to like it. He could have looked at what Reggie said but honestly he knew he’d only blow up again.

A new arrogance was building up in Reggie, and his ego was growing bigger with each reply. His concentration had left the sports channel entirely instead focusing all his efforts on his replies. He didn’t feel the need to get dressed up all the way since it was just a one night stand. Plus, Reggie didn’t need prove himself to anyway. Throwing a simple text, he decided it would be best to hop in the shower to make himself at least look presentable. 

 Reggie: I’m not cocky, Topaz. I just now how good I am. 

 Reggie: What kind of question is that? Lmao I already know when you’re gonna be begging for me when you leave me 

 Reggie: Let’s get straight to the point, Send me an address. I’m taking a shower.

 Reggie: And, Serpent. Prepare for the best night of your life.

 As he finished texting his reply, he hopped in the shower very quickly.

Baby was well aware of what a single compliment did to her friend. She never minded that he was so proud to hear it either and it only amused her when he played into it. She let the radio play between them, adding to the upbeat feeling Baby had bouncing around. “There is no better place like that like the great outdoors. As long as you defend us against the bears I don’t see how we can have a bad time.” She at least had high hopes but who knew what could happen in Riverdale. Baby just happened to be more surprised by how short the ride really took between the two bickering over what to listen to or who would be setting up the tent. Since I drove us out here, I think it’s only fair that the man should put up the tent, that’s all I’m saying.” She shifted around her bags as she started to take them out happy to see the site was actually pretty decent. 

A small scoffed passed his lips as he listened to her words, playing like he was offended. ‘But babygirl, I thought you were supposed to be my one and only.’, he added grinning over to her. As the arrived at the campsite, he began unpacking the gear and suitcases. ‘Baby, does it look like I know how to put up a fucking tent.?’, he responded grabbing the cooler from the back of the car. ‘Your fine ass is going to help me whether you like it or not. I know for a fact you got muscles underneath there. Think of it as a workout.’ As the car unloaded, he smirked to himself proud that all they had to do was set up camp. ‘So where to start, first?’, he questioned.

We lost the one stable place we could call home, me especially.” She could hear from in his tone that he was was feeling sorry for her. Toni didn’t want that. Bad things happened all the time. You learn from them and move on, Toni didn’t want anyone’s pity. “I don’t know if I’m supposed to take that as a compliment, but thank you? When you’re forced to grow up early and take care of yourself, guess you kind’a force yourself to protect yourself.”

 “That’s crazy. I never thought I’d see you like in a big brother role,” Toni spoke honestly. She couldn’t picture him being protective over a sibling considering the rumors she had heard in the halls about how he treated women, but then again having a sister didn’t always mean that the boy would treat others better. “Hey, I now you’re not totally in to this whole therapy thing, but I’m not hear to judge you although I love to judge you. You don’t have to give me one word answers.”

‘Yeah, the Northsiders really fucked up on that one.’, he mumbled, avoiding eye contact with her. The sober part of Reggie’s mind seem to be bringing up all of the antics he’d accomplished in the past year, and for once in his life it seemed the boy felt truly guilty. It wasn’t the fact that he needed forgiveness because his pride wouldn’t allow him to admit the guilt, but his heart was a different story. Though, his face changed from stoic to heartbroken in an instance. He didn’t like feeling this vulnerable. For him, it was easier when he wasn’t sober. He didn’t have to feel things. 

 ‘Yeah, she’s pretty great. I’d beat anyone’s ass that would harm her.’, he responded shortly, shrugging it off nonchalantly. He was pretty sure that his sister had already heard the rumors, but their relationship was different than that. He wanted to be a better person for her. Though, it might be hard…she was his whole world. ‘ Like that makes me feel better, Topaz.’, he mumbled shortly, sighing., “ I don’t like feeling this vulnerable, so forgive me. It’s gonna take me some time. But I guess I can start opening up abit. I’m just under a lot of pressure right now. ‘

The bulldog was used to being the dominant in his personal life and his athletics, so Reggie wasn’t using to being any type of submissive. So, it was weird to have a woman overpower him like this. The new territory was exciting for the boy---like making hair stand up on the back of his neck, exciting. As she moved into his lips, a small groan left his lips. He seemed to be carried away with the kiss. 

His mind began swirling with thoughts that consumed him. ‘I still want a tatt—‘, he voices was muffled by her lips. Reaching up, he gripped onto her hips tighter, trying to close the distance between them the most. The remainder of the alcohol seemed to be leaving his system as headache was forming but that was the least of his worries currently.
