Watching the Mighty Nein animated and itās the scene with Caleb and Nott in the barn.
And my sister, who sat down when the episode started and has been watching silently, goes āWho is that absolutely sad man?ā
Caleb Widogast everyone lol
Idea: the inquisitor joins Varric and Rook in Minrathous before Solasās ritual starts, and when it gets disrupted and Varric gets hurt/killed, Inky, in a rush of emotions and adrenaline, charges at Solas as Rook makes their way back to the others. Elgarānan and Ghilanānain escape and both Solas and Inky get pulled into the regret prison.
Solas still ends up in Rookās head but the way Iāve been having the prison work is that you end up in different areas of it and you face your regrets there until thereās a common ground. Example of what I mean from whatever my worldstate au is that three of my Rooks end up in there when Solas breaks out and they have to work their way through their regrets until they get close to an exit, the exit being facing what happened at the ritual site with Varric and how the three felt about it. So the Inquisitor is elsewhere in the prison and basically has no idea what Solas is doing but knows that something is happening, especially if theyāre a mage.
Either the Inquisitor manages to escape because unlike Solas, theyād be able to face and move past their regrets, or theyād decide to stay with him and continue to try and talk him down from trying to tear down the Veil again. If they decided to stay then theyād join in with the talks with Rook, or Solas pushes them elsewhere (because evidently he has some control of the prison itself) and hides the fact that he can talk with Rook.
This might be too much but itād be cool if you could switch perspectives throughout the story in this scenario, like going through what Rook is dealing with and then at some points working through your Inquisitorās regrets and how theyād deal with each and move past them.
I think what especially infuriates me about Isseya, is that she COULD be a convincing antagonist in Veilguard, that would reintroduce a level of moral complexity into the game's structure and give you an interesting choice, without fundamentally changing much about the structure of Davrin's companion quests, and it wouldn't destroy her character and make her completely opposed to her initial goals???
In The Last Flight, Isseya hid the griffon eggs away because she did not believe the Wardens of the Exalted Age were appropriate caretakers of this sacred bond and burden. I think she should essentially make the same claims about the Wardens of the Dragon Age: after the events of the Fifth Blight, choices made by the HoF regarding Avernus, and then regarding the Architect/Mother, and then of course, the whole supporting Corypheus thingāIsseya does not believe that the Wardens of the Dragon Age are ready to handle the griffons. I think she ought to kidnap the griffon clutch and kill the griffon caretakers, in an attempt to put them back to sleep, and hide them until a future age where the Wardens will treat them better, so that they specifically WON'T be tainted by the Blight spreading through the world.
Davrin would still be determined to pursue this mysterious woman who'd killed his comrades and kidnapped all-but-one griffon, they'd still run to The Cauldron and find out both about Isseya, and the First Warden's attempt to try and taint the griffons and have sympathy for her actionsāand then Davrin and Rook would be left with a genuinely compelling moral choice: do you agree with Isseya's decision and leave the griffons in stasis under her care, or do you fight her and free them, because you trust the Wardens/need them now?
Within the canon of Veilguard, the Grey Wardens are ruled by superiors whose first instinct is to neglect and ignore world-ending threats because of selfish politics. Although there are good Wardens like Davrin, Antoine and Evka, do you trust the institution of the Grey Wardens to properly treasure the lives of the griffons? Because you can't just limit the griffons to "good" Wardensāonce they are out in the world, they will become the companions and weapons of Wardens you dislike! And in this age of horrible Blight, where things have gone to absolute shit: do you push to try and bring the griffons into the world anyway, because you need every advantage you can get to save the world? And I think this makes Davrin's personal storyline more about him, while still also being about the griffons! What does Davrin feel about this whole story? Isseya specifically protected the griffons from being discovered by anybody other than elvish Wardensāhow does his feelings about being Dalish and being a Warden collide here? How do her pleas for protecting and preserving the past and keeping it safe from corruption and danger feel to him? Is he the sort of person who wants to protect the griffons, how does he feel about the Grey Wardens as an institution with knowledge of what was done in the past, what is he willing to sacrifice to save the world?
There's such room to make her an antagonist of Rook and Davrin without diluting her principles and morals, and without going 'The Blight made her craaaazzyyyyy and completely lose her morality!' but it would require the developers to allow players to explore and examine greyer moralities about sacrifice and protection and what we owe to the people around us, and offer us more than just blatant choices between cartoonish evil and naive goodness.
Also also look at my Hawke :D
I've been having a ton of fun playing and I really like how she looks :) she is very pretty and I love her
Disaster twins of Thedas
Aka my Solavellan kids as Rook(s)
I made Elara (top) be with the Lords of Fortune and Elias (bottom) with the Veil Jumpers, but if the Inquisition was a faction then they'd be that instead
Idk if this counts as a spoiler
But I somehow like Caine a lot more after watching the new episode like that entire sequence was so fucking cool
Kind of just kept going āholyshitsholyshitā the entire time lol
I feel like Sunlight by Hozier fits Lucanis and Delora.
Lucanis has spent his life living with the expectations of his family, the weight of being the heir to First Talon and everything that comes with that, that he never let himself want more for himself. It would be impossible to turn Caterina down, being the last living few of the Dellamorteās, not wanting to let her down. He thought of Illario like a brother, and yet there was still that divide between the two, and it grows to the point of Illario turning to betray him, wanting him him dead and instead landing him in a fate worse than death. A year imprisoned, tortured and stuck with a demon, shutting down completely simply to survive.
Then comes Delora, who is a very bright and cheerful person, always looking for the best in people and never letting anyone put her down, living boldly without worrying what others think. Lucanis loves her because of the light she brings to his life, how warm and patient she is and how sheās always there for him. The longer theyāre together the more it turns into devotion, and it becomes more dangerous because of Lucanisās position as First Talon, which Delora is aware of but doesnāt pay much mind to it, because she finally has this great love and neither wants to lose it, even if it gets them hurt.
Her love is like sunlight, but it is still sunlight, and one day something will happen where it will hurt them.
Two cousins, close as brothers. One carried the weight of expectation; the other lived in his shadow.
The shenanigans are shenaniganing.
Nyx knows Harding from their time at Skyhold so theyāre more comfortable with her than the others. Hence the shenanigans.

Iām running through ideas for what my Rookās personal quests would be, one of which involves Zeaās father, who Viago said died years ago, and they are less than happy about it.
Something like:
Viago: Zea, I know I told you that your father was dead, but (insert Crow house) has your father.
Zea: ā¦
Zea: Iāll be right back.
Viago: *suddenly very stressed* Zea donātā
*several hours later*
Zea, now drenched in blood: Heās dead now :)
Viago, noticeably greyer than before: Mierdaā¦
So I was thinking of going for Fenris first because I apparently have a thing for rogues and I like whateverās wrong with him.
ā¦but Anders was so very sweet with Hawke and I like his whole āI would but I donāt want to hurt youā thing heās got going on right now.
On another note of my da2 experience, I love the banter so much like they really are all just like that and itās great. I also love being a sarcastic little shit like you go Hawke.
I do not much care for Cullen now though and I can see why people donāt like him, but I do still really like his romance in Inquisition so *shrugs*.
On the one hand, I really like the stupid banter Rook has.
On the other, I get very angsty with my character work sometimes that my Rooks are just like:
Confession: For emmrich volkarin
I NEED to give that man a necklace of hickeys. Straddle him and take my time with each and every one until he is moaning and writhing under me, but im not stopping
And how fucking hot would be it be to know whats under that ridiculously tall collar of his? I bet hed feel it brush against one of the bruises and get hard. Hopefully hed seek me out and return the favor š«
Oh! I love stumbling across other Rook Ingellvars who romance Lucanis!! š„°š From the rookanis week ask game, how about questions 12 and 17 for Delora? š
Thank you for the ask!! š
12. What would Lucanis get for Rook at the Treviso market?
Face paint is the only thing I can think of that Lucanis would get for Delora at that point, that or some sort of cleaner for her hammer. Something that sheād appreciate and use a lot.
17. What does Rook think about Spite? How does it change over time?
At first Delora is skeptical of Spite. She didnāt know what to make of him and didnāt trust him, but the more Spite would take over and try to talk with her, the more curious she got and wanted to know what it was he wanted. After Inner Demons and actually being around him, and seeing Lucanis be willing to work with him, she starts to come around to him. Itās a bit of a slow process to work towards trusting Spite, but she trusts that Lucanis knows what heās doing with him and is more than willing to help him work with Spite.
During those few weeks before going to Tearstone Island is when she wouldāve been keeping Spite company while Lucanis slept. Spite would ask questions and Delora would answer the best she could, and sometimes she would just tell him a story about something sheād done and heād be quiet for once and listen to her talk. Idk I just like the idea of Rook keeping Spite company like that, I think itās very sweet :)
At some point she may grow to love Spite almost as much as she loves Lucanis, but there would have to be several conversations with both before sheād get to that point. That doesnāt mean it hasnāt crossed her mind, sheās more focused on how Lucanis would feel than anything else. This is all like yearsssss down the road, but still sheās thought of it once or twice.
