Coming to an End

Hi. I know I keep disappointing with the posting. I promised posts after the hospital, but things got REALLY complicated and busy and I was focusing on getting better. It’s been months and it’s only just now that I can manage cleaning my entire home and walk a straight thirty minutes.

This upcoming fall is my last semester in school though. I have one class. I’m hoping I can post about it, but I may be under a lot of pressure just because I gotta pass this to finally be done.

We’ll see. In the meantime, it’s still summer and I am in the process of moving too! So, we will have a few pictures of the new set up once that’s happened.

So, it’s been a while. To be fair, I got pneumonia and ended up in the hospital last semester, so posting wasn’t my main priority.

This semester is still fairly fresh though, so I’ll be posting some of my things this time around.

Mockups

Studying for midterms and making my own mockup tests to do so. Bleh. Takes forever, but works 😭😭😭 can’t wait for that to be done. I still have projects and papers though.

Mics and Midterms

Back in the grind. I haven’t posted in a while, but have some time to do my studying now. I’ve got a quiz on mics today and a midterm for Recording Techniques Level 2 on the seventh! EEP! I’m nervous, but I’ve got a week to study my butt off and get that A!!! (Maybe a B 😅)

I get how the whole “listening to music as a dick-measuring contest for who can listen to the most obscure band” thing can get grating sometimes but I don’t think people realize just how vital that phenomenon is for new up and coming bands to get a foot in the door. it’s understandable to be annoyed by hipsterism but unless you want all music to be industry plants and former child stars you’re just going to have to accept it as part of the social ecosystem.

[pretentious music guy you’ve never met before playing your music in front of someone else]: yeah so i found this on bandcamp and it completely blew me away, no one is making music like this today, it’s so raw and experimental and interesting, i can’t believe they only have 3 listeners on spotify, they’re brilliant, frankly if you don’t like this music you should kill yourself,

Minus the kilo yourself part, I guess I’m a jackass who does this. But I also love listening to new music that is obscure or new or not played as often and don’t give a fuck if I’m the first person or if someone shows me bc I just love music.

I got some good studying in today! And on Thursday! I made myself flashcards, and I’m almost ready for that Pro Tools exam!! I also got my desk set up a bit more today, which is very nice, and puts me at ease to study! Sooo, I’ll be posting that soon!

TODAY…

I went to the library after class to do my Pro Tools exercise…only to discover that I wouldn’t be able to do the exercise on my laptop.

I then moved over to the lab in the music building and was able to start the exercise…only to choose the one computer that wouldn’t produce sound through my headphones, or at all.

I stared at my screen for too long, worked on as much as I could, had someone help me find the routing issue after an hour or longer of being unable to get any sound, and was able to finish the exercise.

It was a day, but in the end I won, so HA!

Another day of soup. Got the grilled cheese, the two kitties, and another day of homework and studying ahead of me.

FINALS. EOS.

My, oh, my. It has been a while since posting. Sorry, but I was working and studying and procrastinating.

I just finished my electronics final and I PASSED. The class is OVERRRRR! The semester has ended!!! I am ecstatic!

I will be posting all of my messy pictures of notes that I had taken and used for studying. I had procrastinated and put off a lot. I got the majority of my work done within two days, then studied for three days, and the third day I had finally gotten 100’s on my practice exams before taking the real thing.

PHEW! Time to relax. The grind is over until the spring.

Avocado Toast, Coffee, and Op-Amps

Well, I have been procrastinating for wayyyyy too long. In fact, the last time I took notes was at work (while it was slow and I didn’t have any tasks to complete), and since I didn’t have my notebook with me I had to utilise Word! I E-mailed those to me, didn’t transfer them over, and three lectures later, here I am with more untransferred notes.

I will transfer them, but until then, I can’t have lessons all over my notebook willy-nilly out of order.

Anyway, back to note taking and sorry for the long wait for an update! I’m back and in the grind! LESSGOOOOO!!!

Moofins and Midterms

Welp, I had a productive day yesterday! My midterm is this Tuesday. I got some review done, made a batch of blueberry muffins, and today gonna do a practice midterm 🤷🏽‍♀️

I failed a test. I watched Ted Lasso. Failure happens. It’s all good.

The good news is that I put Pumpkin Spice and Nutmeg into my coffee today and fall is here. I’ll be able to retake the quiz and I’ll do better until I pass it! I got this! We all do!

Calculator Problems?

So, I had to E-Mail my professor about some issues I am either having with my calculator or with my understanding of the simple math we have to do for Parallel Circuits.

Waiting on a response to that (I sent him pictures of my written work because I have no idea what I am doing wrong!!!). Before I can move on to do the homework for our next lessons, Ohm’s Law in Parallel, I gotta know what I’m doing wrong.

I can’t properly solve the equations if I’m unable to figure out part of the equations! So, that’s my update.

At least the notes have been taken for today.
