I'm @magicalmysteryperson, and this is my side blog where you can find all my fan art of Ninja Sex Party, a musical comedy duo composed of Danny Sexbang and Ninja Brian.
It also doubles as an in-character blog (which I like to call the "Taoverse" or the fans call it, the MSTHverse), so ask these idiots as many questions as you like!
Because this blog is talking about a band with the word "Sex" in it, there will be some stuff that might not be suitable for younger audiences.
Don't worry, you won't be seeing any naked people doing naked people dances here, but there will be mentions and implications of suggestive behavior. Mature content filters will be used if necessary.
Basically if this sideblog was a TV show, it would be TV-14 DSLV that sometimes goes into TV-MA DSLV. In other words, an Adult Swim show. But a tumblr blog.
Also, for the love of god and all that is holy, DO NOT GET WEIRD WHEN IT COMES TO TALKING TO THE CHARACTERS.

During the Jurassic period, the dinosaurs lived in a harmonious cycle. An empire called the Cretacians sought out to take over the Jurassic period for the Juraki Crystals, but they were nowhere to be seen. After years of searching, they decided to hide beneath the surface until they’ve awoken.
In the modern world, two men named Danny Sexbang and Ninja Brian hear distant dinosaur cries and are suddenly gifted enhanced powers from crystallized shurikens, which triggered the Cretacian Empire to rise after millions of years. Will Ninja Sex Party prevent the world from entering a massive extinction event?

Channel chi into Jurakens (auras and devices glow given colors)
Open eyes -> say phrase -> release them (boomerang towards the back)

Transform into suits when Jurakens hit them in the back -> use clawing motion to break out of amber

- Slightly bigger size than normal Juraken (made of crystallized red amber, red and black jewels on tips of blades, and crown in middle made of bones)
- Same process as initial transformation, but given dinosaur DNA is injected into body + amber shells glow red

Suit plates become slightly bigger
Spikes on boots, gloves, and shoulder armor extend outward
Upgraded strength, agility, and speed
Brian*:
Teeth on helmet protrude outwards + ridges are slightly bigger

(Note: The DNA of the specific Stegosaurus & Allosaurus species will merge with Danny & Brian after every use of the Colossal Jurakens. Until they can control it for future battles and post-battles, they will initially replicate their behaviors)

Thagomizer*: a normal-looking whip at first
- Attack phrase: “Thago Impaler!”
- White and blue spike patterned armor -> when cracked, silver spikes pop out at end -> whipping from any direction can stab/impale enemies (can wave back and forth as a taunt)
*mimics stegosaurus tail defense system
Stegosaurus call: used for distractions + pre-battle cry (can control to be high-pitched to deafen enemies)
Jura Katanas: blades are engraved with stegosaurus plates & swirly designs + handles are wrapped in ripped blue fabric with spikes on the end
- Phrase: “Dance of the [ninjutsu name]!” (Ex: “Dance of the wind!” -> summon wind currents or gusts, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc.)
Brian:
Allo Claws*: large golden tekko-gaki claws
- (Implied) Attack phrase: “Allo Bite!”
- Can claw and tear into enemies
*mimics Allosaurus bite
Allosaurus call: used for distractions + pre-battle cry (is telekinetically connected to Danny’s Stegosaurus cry for more unity + can also control to be high-pitched to deafen enemies)
Jura Katanas: blades are engraved with mock-up scratch marks & swirly designs + handles are wrapped in ripped yellow fabric with spikes on the end

Eurhino Beast (Eurhinosaurus): can change into duel-wielding katanas
Archaeo Beast (Archaeopteryx): can connect to the main Jura Gattai for flight ability and tail swipe attack
Vulcano Beast (Vulcanodon): can change into a cannon that shoots hot volcanic rocks
Bronto Beast (Brontosaurus): can change into a whip that summons thunder shocks

Grand King Takeover (used in Rampage Mode): use all mechas to release a large amount of chi in a large energy ball

holy shit, this took SO LONG to (probably?) finalize 😭 had to do a shit ton of research to get everything as accurate as possible. i had some trouble figuring out names for the motw, attacks, gattais, and even the power rangers version; but if you have any suggestions for better names or to change anything, feel free to comment/reblog! :)
here are the old-ish designs for danny’s and brian’s mission suits + the jurakens. will redesign them someday lol
and if we were to get into the usual trope of “one ally is manipulated to join the bad side and they must get them back by fighting them”, the boys would mimic an allo vs. stego fight with their weapons and everything

So this is a big celebration set of fake screenshots I've been working on since Legends of Avantris hit the 15 million stretch goal to bring Starlight Brigade to the Neon Odyssey D&D books next year as a mini campaign! It's also a fun hypothetical headcanon idea of how Strive, Pyke and the Rhapsody crew could possibly meet.
I'm imagining Strive unwillingly separated from the rest of the brigade/twrp crew, somehow ending up in the Rhapsody's neck of the galaxy and soon after being pursued by space pirates while dodging and weaving to escape. Pyke then takes off in his ship, the Sparrow, to engage in the coolest combat scenario in my head as Strive's ship doesn't have any weapons to fight back with.
You should totally check out the music videos with these characters and maybe even watch a really cool D&D campaign too :)
For the longest time, I've always seen Luke as how I drew Danny Sexbang but in real life.... well, body type wise anyway (wide chest and shoulders + skinny legs)
But now with the height confirmation..
Yeaaaah I think I might need to figure out some ways to draw Luke differently.
(nobody's jacking each other's style. this is just for funsies.)
Danny, or at least how I draw him anyway, is a skinny string bean with exaggerated proportions that make him look more beef than he actually is.
Luke, meanwhile, is a dude that not only has those exaggerated proportions IRL (wide shoulders and long legs), but he's a little thicker and wider than Danny. I also gave him a slightly rounder face to capture that boyish charm he has.
i really hate the way the "boobs vs butt" thing got broken down into this implicit idea that butt is the nobler stance. it's really stupid. personally im a woman guy. [realizes how that sounds] [purses my lips in thought] [nods confidently] im a woman guy
I can't believe that one band managed to write a song with both "Now let's tear all of our clothes off like two pants hating wolverines" and "The speed of light's for pussies, we're going at the speed of Brian".
Dating an incomprehensibly large megastructure girl is interesting because she will send you pics of endless halls and chasms of impossible geometry on scales that threaten to break you fragile perception of reality in 2 taken from security cameras in miles above the ground and then respond with something like ">///////////////////////////////<"
