Damn good cover. DAMN good.
BLOOD STAIN CHILD 「LAST STARDUST
These. Guys. Are. Awesome.
What would you get if you took Soilwork or Dark tranquillity, crossed them with some eurotrance/EDM/FuturePop, and transported them to Osaka, Japan?
You’d get Blood Stain Child.
Male and female vocals, , varied sounding , electro-influenced melodeath.
Listen to em. Buy em. Love em.
Saudia Arabian Death Metal.... ummm I have no idea if it is good, I’m not a death metal person. Enjoy

Muhahaha ear worm time... it’s a pity that you can’t surprise people with Youtube videos any more (damn you Rick-rolling!)
To be honest I think I like this clip for the awesome piano build as much as the fact I now have that annoying tune stuck in my head...
Because it’s awesome! From the https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kungfury/kung-fury which just looks too truly brilliant to miss.
Just watch it - you can’t deny yourself...
- and yes I checked with the other mod before posting so we can share blame... :P
Static:Reset - Creatures
Technically a darkstep track, but I hear a lot of influence from ambient noise artists as well. Very damn good track with some REALLY INTERESTING sounds - almost organic!
This is one of those music pieces I have always liked since first hearing it many many years ago. I love the sounds and the pacing and the fact it hasn't dated much since 1997. I know very little about these guys other than it is an Australian act... thank goodness for wikipedia ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coma_%28Pendulum_song%29
I like this guy as he makes his own musical triggers and plays it the way the machinery actually moves - lets just say it appeals to my tinkering side. It’s Industrial sounding harsh noise made by machines that look like industrial machines.
It’s worthwhile watching some of the other videos on YouTube (this is the clearest live one I could find) on how it all works.... oh and the music is cool :)
His website is at http://www.tristanshone.com/
Asphyxia by Fraunhofer Diffraction
Witch house goodness - on my wishlist - will happily accept Bandcamp gifts :P
Ok so I come across this Brisbane band - and it seems ok and think all right, I wonder when they play next? I might see them… Looks up website….
they played last night… damn it..
Ultraviolence by Pleasure Symbols
Ok currently on my addicted to listening list... although I’m pained to hear that they will/did tour with Skinny Puppy recently... Only 5000km away from where I am - Where’s my Australian tour... huh? Only waiting 25yrs... My computer has a 150% volume option... this is used on this album
-The Other Mod
Maybe NSFW... So I have been allowed on here to post videos.. expect some form music diarrhoea as I post lots of recent discoveries.... I only discovered Austra recently picked up the “Feel It Break” album the other day... I’m only 4 years behind...

Have added a new admin to get this blog active again while my life is in the shitter. Enjoy the updates!
The Whitlams - No Aphrodisiac
This is an old song - Australian band, a massive hit over here. Still a great song...
DANNY BROWN - 25 BUCKS FEAT. PURITY RING
This is incredible. Only just found out about Danny Brown through a friend who's a Purity Ring fan. i've listened to his entire catalogue now, and I'm more than impressed. His flow and style remind me of a cross between Tech N9ne and Sen Dog of Cypress Hill. He raps both "street" and more humorous lyrics in his different songs, and shows a wide range of talents.
The Purity Ring production and vocals provide a stark contrast to the lyrical and stylistic content of Danny's rap. Megan James' voice, as always, bell-like and perfect, and Corin Roddick's production deep and contrasting like a poppier witch-house.
Highly recommend you check out both of these bands.
MyGrain - Dreamscape
I'm back! With a relatively reliable internet connection, at least for now.
myGRAIN is a melodic death band from Helsinki. Strong overtones of earlier Soilwork and At The Gates, but with a heavier keys/electronics element and some modern prog sensibilities.
Wonderful stuff.
