Do you know what I hate??

When I was growing up any time my brother upset/hurt/was rude to or downright nasty to me I was told “he’s just doing it to get a rise out of you” “he’s just doing it to annoy you”

Like??? I know?? I know he’s being mean to upset me. I know he’s saying horrible stuff to annoy me. And guess what?? I’m annoyed!!!!

I was literally told not to be upset, because his intentions were to upset me????

How is that not upsetting? Especially to a young girl??

These beautiful aquatic creatures look like they’re about to swim, hop, wriggle, and propel themselves away, but they won’t do anything of the sort because each one is made of candy. Welcome back to the Department of Delicious Deception, where today we’re feasting our eyes on another marvelous example of Amezaiku (previously featured here), the centuries-old Japanese art of making edible candy sculptures from sugar and starch.

These impressively lifelike animals are the work of 26-year old Shinri Tezuka, owner of Ameshin, a small Amezaiku studio and shop located in the Asakusa district of Tokyo. Tezuka’s fish, frogs, tadpoles, and cephalopods are so very lovely, we’re not sure how anyone can bring themselves to eat them, but we’d happily collect them all if we could.
