Am I in the minority when I say I’m disappointed in Jungkook performing at the World Cup? His performance brought FIFA and Qatar loads of money - even if people are saying he’s there to contrast bigotry in Qatar and what not - countless fans watched the opening and will stream the song and that’s making fifa money. And it shows fifa that if they put a big enough star on stage in the end it doesn’t matter that people died building the stadium he’s in. I’m absolutely disappointed by jungkook and bighit and their lack of integrity

Well. This is a terrible fucking idea.

Did they not learn from performing in Saudi Arabia for LY? That was already bad enough, but at least that was an actual BTS concert where the only thing they were promoting was BTS. This is not that. This is JK choosing to perform for an event that directly caused the death and misery of thousands of migrant workers, whose governing body has no problem with the country criminalizing same-sex relationships and whose official ambassador called queer people mentally deranged (source). This is JK actively choosing to perform at an event for which multiple equivalent global stars have publicly declined the invitation, specifically citing Qatar’s human rights record.

This is a massive fucking mistake.
