I really don't seem to understand why Illyana would purposefully do stuff like this to her brother, the only family she really has left. Like... yes brother I'm annoyed with how you treat me, so now be held to the chains of an interdimensional demon lord and lose yourself so we can relate?? Curious to learn what other people think of this moment.

Personally it kinda shows how much of child Illyana is still. She thinks that what she went through put matches what anyone else, especially her brother has been through EVEN though Colossus has been through crap nearly his whole life.

From losing his brother, to his sister, to his parents and home land, to getting sister back, to losing her again, to having the same happen to his brother, to taking his life, to being experiment on, to being used over and over gain, to take several lives, to switching sides for being used and lied to, to getting brain damage and all that, do being manipulated by his family again... and Illyana really thinks she has the gall to say he has no idea what she's been through

So she goes and manipulates him again to take on a interdimensional lord to go on a rampage that Colossus basically be ones suicidal again because he hates just doing crap like that and Illyana goes "now you understand me..." like bro no hes been there and past that. You're just a little who got aged up and then decided that all the help your brother was trying to give was useless.

Sorry that was a rant but honestly. Illyana was straight wack fir doing this and I wish there was more balls in colossus to just cut his sister off cause their relationship has not gotten better

Damn that's difficult to hear that their relationship is still in strain... But that's a great response thank you!! I can see how the varying aging along with a weird sort of demonic entitlement Illyana could sort of have this perspective... But it really doesn't make it right. To keep punching down on Peter even after some of the bad decisions he's made, it's tough! The Rasputin siblings deserve better in the world of mutants.
