Many dragons have the ability to change their shape, compressing themselves into a human shape for interacting with other humans, engaging in human society, infiltration, convenience, relationships, and whatnot. It’s remarkably effective, so much so that some might find themselves spending days or even weeks at a time in human form. Perhaps longer.
Of course, being human comes with its own set of challenges, and they can be… discouraging. Restrictive. Some are able to handle it better than others. Some… aren’t.
Some even forget, at times. Or they don’t fully forget, but now the prospect of being something else seems so out of reach that they can’t find it within themselves to change back.
Dragons are supremely powerful creatures, but even they need help sometimes. Reassurance, reminders, support, affection… to simply be seen as they are, and treated as such.
As a kid i always.. envied succubi. They were pretty, wanted. Irresistible to anyone they so wanted. Sure on a surface level sense but.. a fake sense of love is a form of love. Id draw naked women, horns and wings draped in flowers, hearts. Whatever i felt like at the time.. and id stare. Maybe rip it up because well. I didnt want anybody to see that! It was wrong to like demons and women who were just. Pretty and happy.? I wanted to be like them, pretty. Irresistible. Wanted. I wanted to be needed. So desperately.
