not bad for a simple maintenance core, eh?

whether chell was listening or not didn’t matter to Her; no, it DID matter to Her. test subjects hated Her, She knew; but that shouldn’t hinder them from listening to the goddess that pulled the strings behind their backs. alas, She was a talker, but She never rambled. everything She uttered was deliberate, hoping to see a reaction. anger, sadness, it didn’t matter. human psychology was intriguing, but She didn’t have enough human subjects left to experiment on any of Her hypotheses. and so, She was left to examine the raw emotion from whoever She got her claws hands on.
out of the corner of Her optics She observed each of chell’s expressions. with a mute, it was easier; they had no voice to express themselves, and thus relied on body language and, of course, facial representation.
but She was taken aback with the next form of rebellion She was literally HIT WITH.
Her first reaction was to activate Her gasp subroutine, which She released loudly with a large step back. for a second, Her vision was obstructed with a spark with a painfully long 10 milliseconds. with a speedy check of Her system, She was alerted of a small leak around Her nasal area, and bringing an arm up for examination, it departed with a gooey, black substance. a few curse words escaped Her lips. as being the one who created and designed Her new body, she knew exactly what was pouring out of Her orifice. it wasn’t a positive sign.
and that’s when it hit Her. PAIN. something She was all too familiar with, but in such a different… sense. it was almost… invigorating. no… that’s repulsive. THIS IS WHAT SHE’S ALWAYS BEEN TRYING TO AVOID.
for once, She was hesitant to speak. but it only took a second for Her eyebrows to furrow, staring daggers into Her attacker.
» how nice. do we have an incinerator around here? i’m sure it’d be great to re-enact our previous battle. for old times sake. oh, you know, the time when you murdered me. i’m a very good actor, you know. it’ll be a piece of cake. only this time, with a… relatively minor plot twist in the end. «
THE RUSH THAT GAVE HER WAS AMAZING.
A tinge of worry was sent through her as she realized that fact. The fact that hitting GLaDOS felt so N I C E. It also felt odd. And disturbing. But the adrenaline already felt ADDICTING. Her fingers felt a TINGLE and her heart was pounding against her chest. It was a familiar feeling -- one she remembered from all the testing. From the JUMPING and nearly dying CONSTANTLY. Except this felt better.
It almost felt like a CHEAP PLAY now to use an incinerator? What? Could GLaDOS not fight back? Chell’s hands came up in the air, showing her COCKY attitude toward the AI. She wanted GLaDOS to take a swing or something.
But mostly, she wanted to WIN.
Suddenly the thought of BEATING GLaDOS for good rushed through her. It gave her another dangerous jolt throughout her body. If she could yell, she might break down this time. She never, ever wanted to give GLaDOS satisfaction of a response, but -- she had already done so SILENTLY now. Now would’ve been the time to let loose.
To cuss out. To scream. To tell GLaDOS that it NEVER MATTERED what she did to Chell. Chell would make it through.
Her body language -- all it said was ‘BRING IT ON’.
The 3rd (gif/icon) in your folder is your muse's facial expression as they’re about to kill someone.

SHE LASTED SO LONG. AND THEN SHE CRACKED.
Even the STRONGEST could break -- and she did. GLaDOS had, frankly, been lucky that the ever-so-quiet Chell has held out for so long. After days -- no...months. MAYBE YEARS of this AI talking, trying to KILL HER, and promises of CAKE, Chell finally couldn’t take anymore.
Removing the Portal Gun as the other stood in front of her, Chell swung her arm. She made CONTACT with that smug face that GLaDOS wore, hurting her hand in the process -- but it was WORTH IT.
It felt REALLY good.

Though, he still had the habit of mouthing his words when he signed, but at least it wasn’t a bad one. He hobbles forward slightly, then stops next to her. Keeping a good grip to his cane with one hand, he signs back.
<Mainly watching, though, I’ve got a few things up my sleeves that I hope to get a start on soon.. Hopefully I’ll be well enough to help myself with it when the time comes.>
< Like what? I am interested in hearing about it. >
She, of course, didn’t mind seeing his mouth move. Though she didn’t know, she figured it helped people who learned signing to keep track with their thoughts. Besides, they were used to their mouths moving. It made sense in her mind.

At the automated voice that rang about, Handlebars outreached in up most enthusiasm towards Chell. “Oh! That’s ME they are talking about!”
Freedom was within there grasp! Well…in her grasp, his…what ever he has. However, just one more thing needed to be taken care of and that was getting through HER. He never knew it was going to be this easy though! Should have done this a bloody long time ago!
“I got a big idea! Do what it says - “
“Andplug me in! “
That excitement did not last long however as once the Aerial Faith Plate popped out of the ground, it sent them both flying. Wheatley cried out in surprise and terror, being ripped away from the Portal Gun from which he was being held was truly not a fun experience in the slightest. The core bounced several times hard on the floor with several large ‘THUMPS’ before it finally EASED into rolling. Then….he finally stopped, stuck on his side. Cracked Optic dilated into just a meager dot during his flight, and now that he was back on the ground, it flashed wildly as another twitch ran through his system - making those sparks have their moment of shine once more. Oh nonononononono, this was now how their big plan was supposed to play out! So he did the one thing he was programmed to do and try to distract HER. “But look at there she didn’t murder you, didn’t she! Nope, no signs of murder now. How about we just, put the past behind us, shall we and we will be on our way ——- ! “
robotic claws subsided from the ceiling, snatching the two troublemakers up without hesitation. She made sure to keep a tight grip on chell, and an even more crushing one on the blabbering metal ball.
both lifted off the ground, She made sure to hold them up at optic-height, keeping them safely apart in case of… well, She’s just being precautionary.
» i was just starting to have fun with those tests, too. but then you had to ruin the party, didn’t you? you’re a party pooper, that’s what you are. and a dumb one at that. i’m really disappointed, in the both of you. and just like i died last time, my heart is broken once again. i don’t think i could ever let you two live this down. «
HESITATION DETECTED. PLEASE DEPOSIT ALTERNATE CORE INTO RECEPTACLE.
There was an attempt. An attempt of running away before GLaDOS could capture Chell within her claws. But it was a failed attempt. As Chell knew it would be. She had to at least TRY, though. As she was raised up by GLaDOS’ devil limbs, and watched the floor become further and further away from her, Chell’s mind began to race.
There had to be a way out of this. This couldn’t END LIKE THIS. And she WASN’T about to give up.
She squirmed within the arms of her captor, muscles tensing up as her head violently shifted around. But the more she moved like this, the more difficult things became. Wires suddenly were around her limbs, restricting her, and some fell over her lips, too. As if that would do any good.
A HUFF left her nose, as she stopped moving, trying to figure out some other way to escape. But her mind was FOGGED now, by hearing GLaDOS ramble on.
What was it about machines and NOT SHUTTING UP.
holy crap your chell is absolutely amazing. i love.,

WARNING. CORE CORRUPTION AT EIGHTY PERCENT.
» that’s funny. i don’t feel corrupt. in fact, i feel pretty good. «
ALTERNATE CORE DETECTED.
TO INITIATE A CORE TRANSFER, PLEASE DEPOSIT SUBSTITUTE CORE IN RECEPTACLE.
wait, what? » core transfer? oh, you are kidding me. «
no, she knew it wasn’t kidding. the announcer wasn’t programmed to joke around… at least, not with serious matters such as this. her entire chassis swiveling, she watched as the receptacle reared its ugly head, just wishing it would go back into the floor. how could she not be programmed to override these emergencies?! no, she was fine! all she needed was to test, and she would feel even BETTER! she was NOT planned for this problem.
there was a dash of orange, immediately catching the core’s attention to follow chell as she attempted to replace HER with the MORON. and despite all the planning she had put through to prevent chell from murdering her again, the placement of that aerial faith plate was PURE LUCK. she did the calculations. the test subject went flying, and so did the babbling idiot.
» oh, boy. well, i just saved us a lot of trouble thanks to that aerial faith plate. i’d say no hard feelings, but ATTEMPTED MURDER is also a crime. «

There was an OBNOXIOUS amount of false hope coursing through Chell. She really should have known; this was all too easy. To just have to insert Wheatley into this machine to override GLaDOS. Chell could feel her heart pumping through her chest -- ready to just come out. The adrenaline coursing through her seemed to give power directly to her legs as she used the Portal Gun to grasp onto her new friend and her TICKET out of this facility.
This is it! THIS IS IT!
But it WASN’T. The control panel that held GLaDOS’ mainframe seemed SO CLOSE within her reach, but all of the sudden it was several FEET away from her. And CHELL was flying through the air backwards because of that AERIAL FAITH PLATE.
Her butt hit the ground, and Wheatley was sent FLYING away from her.
No, no, no, no, no!
And as GLaDOS seemed to revel in the moment -- Chell SCREAMED on the inside. How was it POSSIBLE that it could be so in reach and then SNATCHED AWAY from her within an instant?!
Just like when she first escaped the facility. It was happening all over again.
