ââ CLOSED STARTER ! [ delta & owen. ]
without her pack, delta couldnât help feeling more than a little lost. aimless feet wandered the streets of washington with little success, her sense of smell having lost all of its prior intensity. even when she tried with every bit of effort housed in her cells, there was no sign of them â she could only smell greasy foods wafting from the street corner concession stands, the pungent tang of sweat, and freshly mown lawns. her pack was far from her and sheâd never felt more ALONE.Â
deciding on an activity that was all too human, delta chose to get a coffee, needing the caffeine to keep her awake. there wasnât a moment in which she felt safe enough to allow herself to sleep. brown eyes moved to look out the window, watching the crowds of humanity that passed. her gaze lingered on a man who was quickly approaching, a heart now laced with hope beginning to thrum wildly in her chest. once sheâd confirmed to herself that it was owen, she abandoned her cappuccino and practically sprinted from the cafe.Â
âââ ITâS YOU ! HOLY SHIT, ITâS REALLY YOU,â her voice boomed across the crowds, bridging the distance between them and throwing herself into the arms of the only father figure sheâd ever known â sheâd be able to identify him ANYWHERE. her hug was tight, vice-like in its newness â she hadnât quite mastered the idea of gentleness. Â
                      ( @mutualrcspect ! )
so much had changed after the catastrophic events that had taken place in jurassic world.the indominus had wrecked havoc, tore apart everything that had been built. took away the only family that owen had known for years. even three years after those events, they still pained him -- still tore him apart. watching the raptors he had raised since birth, the ones that had imprinted on him, the ones that had protected him to the end -- it had completely destroyed him. delta, echo, and charlie were gone, and blue had disappeared once more. no matter how hard it was to let her go, owen understood. she needed to free.Â
those events had changed him, as had the more recent ones. owen was still trying to wrap his mind over everything now that he was in a completely new world. one that was free of dinosaurs roaming about. that wasnât easy to take in. they had become such a huge part of his life, living in a world where they had never been recreated was odd to him. lost in his thoughts, owen nearly jumped at the sudden voice booming out. before he could even react, a woman was launching herself at him, arms wrapping him in a vice like grip. what the fuck??
âw -- what??â he questioned, attempting to squirm out of the grasp. âiâm sorry, who are you??â
