Ill always have the forest with me. The dirt in my nails. The spirits in my ears. Flowers and clovers in my hair. Grass tied round my fingers

Finland appreciation post.
Because it is Itsenäisyyspäivää, I thought it’s the perfect occasion to play a little game. List 6 things that you like about Finland, whether you are a native or just an enthusiast.
The metal/hard rock culture. It’s just nice that it’s mainstream enough here to be able to listen to music you like on a normal radio.
The timeless nature. As soon as you leave the bigger cities, you are welcomed by the wilderness. That’s priceless.
The food. The fact it has such a bad reputation is ridiculous. Rye is just the best thing.
The libraries, and the access to culture in general is simply amazing.
The climate. Call me crazy but I enjoy winter more than summer. I just find the darkness soothing.
Finnish. I know I keep bitching about it, but truth is that no matter how much ranting I do, I’m still practicing it several hours a day. Let me be fluent already T_T
Disclaimer: This post is meant to be fun and light-hearted. Finland has its own flaws like every country does and this post is in no means trying to erase anything.
