HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! 🎈🥳🎂🎉
this is obviously several months late for a response but i hope you know you'll live in my heart until the day i die
"immortality sucks because all your friends die" all your friends die anyway. those we do not mourn are those who mourn us.
"immortality sucks because you forget who you are" we always forget who we are. do you remember who you were at four years of age? who you were at fourteen? "who i am" is a shadow cast on the wall.
"immortality sucks because" skill issue. skill issue. skill issue. give me your liver
you and atlas are one and the same, cursed to hold a weight you cannot bear and still standing —— not because you can but because you have to. maesena, the last dragonborn. written by andrea. ©

HOW’D YOU GET SO SWEET? / eliza cecilia kardel, original character featuring fandom verses: supernatural, star wars + more. low activity, low stress + private (mutuals only).
“ no more questions about me. ” @icewept-a, 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔩𝔞𝔰𝔱 𝔬𝔣 𝔲𝔰.
“it isn't my fault you've piqued my interest. you really should blame yourself for my curiosity.” she smiles, hardly joking. what is there to talk about otherwise? she doesn’t enjoy small talk lately, overtired from all the nobles and their lackeys trying to pick through her head, and remains too protective of the school to speak of it much with strangers. what she can sense in him is infinitely more fascinating — a puzzle itching to be solved.
the challenge of his iciness makes it all the more fun. “your turn then. ask your questions, or tell me of something interesting.” minerva can always find a way in even when she isn't so overtly interrogating. she tucks her hand beneath her chin, brows lofted.
“ you’re not immune from being ripped apart. ” @savagecowboy, 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔩𝔞𝔰𝔱 𝔬𝔣 𝔲𝔰.
in spite of herself, she laughs. “i never said i was. my confidence doesn’t make me foolhardy.” and there is plenty she can do to protect her physical form as well as she does her spirit, her mind. it is the house to her most precious and most obsessively kept possession: her magick. she isn’t immune to the sharp edges of a creature like him, but that hardly makes her easy prey.
and although she will not share what cards she holds, it feels only fair to offer her own warning, her tone flatter now. “you should not test the level of protections i have on my person, severen. it will put to waste all the work i’ve done for your daylight jewelry.” whether or not his words are a threat or a warning, she wishes to be clear in where she stands.

It had been quite the journey coming all the way here from Dragon's Bridge but he was glad to have finally arrived at the gates of the College of Winterhold and by the Gods what a marvelous site it was. The architecture caught his eye as he passed through the metal bars that contained it; but he was not here for some magic spell or some lesson in the arcane. No, he was here for its Arch-Mage (@mvrigny). His beloved. His Minerva.
It had been ages since he last saw her, and every fledgling he sent to check on her ended up back at his doorstep in pieces. Perhaps if he visited her himself she would be less... brutal.
Adonalius starts asking passing professors questions about her, asking her if she was here, if she were available to talk and most were too busy to give him a clear answer until he manages to convince one of them to rely the message to her that he was here.
it's one of the few moments of peace since she'd taken the position, and this of course means that she can't be left alone for even a minute. between tolfdir flitting in and out as he pleases, the letters piling up, and the acolytes who hadn't gotten the memo to stay out when the door is shut, she's on the verge of ripping out her hair when collette comes in. the smirk on her mouth does her no favors but before minerva can chastise her, she croons something about her sweetheart being here.
adonalius. they'd left things on an extremely sour note ( especially with her killing a couple of his progenies solely to make a point ) and she feels conflicted — torn between dismay and excitement. it's been so long. she stands slowly and shooes the healer away, taking her time taking the other staircase down.
and when she strolls out of the hall of elements, hit with an icy wave of frost and fog, she sees him immediately. how could she miss him? her stomach lifts toward her chest and she has to work hard to keep her face stoic as she approaches, pale eyes cold.
"follow me, adonalius." she commands, turning on her heel to lead him through the hall of elements and up toward her study. minerva has no desire to be eavesdropped on by nosy little apprentices.
mommy? sorry.... mommy?
