Playing With Colour on Metal
Playing with silver patina, a little enamel and some beautiful new metal colours I received from one of my teachers at uni from a looooooong time ago. The first ring is a silver and gold inlay ring with liver of sulphur patina, the second is an enameling experiment which I’m still on the fence about, and the third is a silver piece with a mix of liver of sulphur and red dye-oxide from Sculpt Nouveau. Such a pleasure to just play with the materials without thinking about purpose. ♥️
Gold Inlay Into Silver - A Process (which is probably not the 'technically correct' process but the process I'm going with anyway because I eat chaos for breakfast) Experimenting with inlaying gold wire into sterling silver, a jewellery technique that's been around for hundreds if not thousands of years (and which I have very little experience with, as in none). This is me essentially making things up as I go, learning what works along the way and hoping for the best.
There's a 4 minute version with a more detail on my YouTube for those interested (my YT channel is Silvaspark). 4 Minute Longer Video is: HERE Strangely edited by AI experimental video is HERE (it's 31 seconds of me doing the same thing set to a beat I didn't choose. Won't be using that again.)
Crafting a multi-section necklace for an exhibition, one piece at a time. A big work in progress I've been undertaking for a few months now... Patience is key; hopefully I get it finished in time for the event!
Diamond dust, Stardust, sparkly texture! I'm obsessed with this texture!
Fresh off the bench. After working on a complex make, this ring was a relaxing finish to the work evening.
Will be up on my webshop site soon!
Earrings - Wax to Cast to Cleanup
Wax-carved pieces have been transformed into these geometric sterling silver pieces, now in the process of priming them for assembly into one of a kind earrings.

My first walkthrough video! Making a setting for a pendant.
Making these is addictive.
Pen, ink and digital. This is a variation on the colouring book image I uploaded to Doodlers Anonymous.
clicking the image will lead to my portfolio site.
Peridot crystal and sterling silver abstract form ring. I was informed that green is the color of genius. :p

Going Back to the Roots with Henrique Oliveira’s Transarquitetônica
To see more photos and videos from Transarquitetônica, explore the MAC USP location page and browse the #henriqueoliveira hashtag.
Brazilian artist Henrique Oliveira invites spectators to step inside his latest artwork and explore a giant wooden maze at São Paulo Museum MAC. His largest installation to date, Transarquitetônica is a 70 meter (229.66 ft) interactive sculpture made of tapumes, a plywood material traditionally used for cheap housing in Brazil. As the piece’s name suggests, Oliveira’s work speaks to the concept of time and evolution. Spectators discover spaces of contrast, as certain areas reference today’s modern architecture while sprawling branches symbolize man’s first dwelling.
I got to see some of Henrique’s work at the Brisbane GOMA’s ‘Sculpture is Everything’ Exhibition in 2012, the work depicted, "Xilonoma Chamusquius 2" - a cancerous like growth in a wall made in a similar fashion to these works - was amazing to look at and touch, quite thought provoking and well constructed. Possibly one of my favourite pieces at the exhibition. Would love to see this one.
Recycled brass, copper and sterling silver. Natural patina and acrylic sealed.
A friend asked me for an Assassin's Creed inspired pendant based on the belt design of Ezio Auditore da Firenze from AC2.The pendant is made using the lost wax casting technique in Argentium Sterling Silver with a faceted garnet gemstone embellishment. The back has two rings for hanging and the piece is a solid 20+ grams of silver. :)
Copper Geometric pendant.

Moss agate beads and enamelled copper wire.
Lost wax cast bronze ring. This one features an amethyst crystal caged in silver.
These are a set of one-of-a-kind rings made last year and exhibited here in QLD. I'll be posting the rest of the series soon.
