The Dreaming Hand (2021â). Ballpoint pen on paper.
Detail of The Dreaming Hand XV, 56 x 40 cm.
Beeswax transfer on a mezzotint plate in a few simple steps: stick some beeswax on a heated plate, spread it thin and evenly with a dauber and tape the graphite drawing on the leading end of the plate.
(I re-used an old plate so the dark spot on the right is just a deeply etched image still visible through the mezzotint ground â I wonder how visible that will be in the print?)
Det er tĂžrke i speilbildets tjern (âThereâs a Drought in the Pond of Self-Reflectionâ). Mezzotint and photogravure, 19 x 21 cm.
Some slight adjustments and color tone explorations on an old mezzotint plate. The Dreaming Hand V. Mezzotint, 13 x 18 cm.
Some work-in-progress copper plate shots from my bachelor graduation project.
An Eye for a Tooth. Ballpoint pen transfer on paper, 21 x 30 cm.
A transfer experiment with an old drawing I had tucked away in a drawer. Amazing to see the color splitting out from black ink!
From my Fever Dream series where I explore apocalyptic motifs and the consequences of living in an increasingly hostile world.
Framed: The Capacity to Destroy Ourselves. Color stone lithograph, 19 x 30 cm.
On plinth: The Fuse Has Been Blown, graphite on lithographic stone, 32 x 46 x 6 cm.
Exhibition next week!

Some mezzotint process shots.
Continued explorations in mezzotint. This plate was my first attempt, which might have been a little ambitious at 13 x 18 cm. If I estimated it correctly, I spent about 29 hours rocking it with very tight overlapping directions. The last image is just 3 x 3 cm â it's crazy how much subtle detail you can fit into one of these plates!
