Welcome to my ‘Frequently Asked Questions’.

PERSONAL:

Q: Is it you in the pictures? A: Unless I say it’s me, it’s not. I rarely shoot pictures of myself and upload them. The models I’ve posted pictures of are Mai - Donna -

Q: Where do you live? A: Like I’ve stated in my bio, I am located in Denmark and I am not giving a town to go with that. If your reason to ask includes having your picture taken, I will meet up in Copenhagen, not anywhere else.

Q: Can you post/send a picture of yourself? A: I don’t do that. I want the people who visit my blog or come across my pictures to be here for the art, not my face. My icon is me and that’s it, really. I can’t see why or how I could post pictures of myself when I’m always behind the camera.

Q: What’s your full name? A: My initials are MWK and I won’t be saying any more on that subject right now.

Q: Do you travel a lot? A: I actually don’t. My family doesn’t have a lot of money and the travels I have been on are for school or something I’ve saved up for when there’s a trip with my scout-group. I just shoot a lot of pictures on my travels so it may look like I travel a lot.

Q: Are you on other social media sites? A: No, I am not. I tried on Instagram but I experienced it a lot tougher and frankly, I thought it was unnecessary when I already had a good thing going on Tumblr.

PHOTOGRAPHY:

Q: Which equipment do you use?/What cheap camera would you recommend? A: I really am not the person you’d want to ask advice about this. I know very little about cameras in general, much less what to recommend other people. I use my own Canon EOS 700D, which I have had and used since 2015 and are still using to this date. I don’t use much other equipment.

Q: Do you have any advice for beginners? A: It is a very vague question but I’ll do my best. It doesn’t matter how big of a camera you got, really. What matters is that you enjoy or are passionate about what you’re shooting pictures of. What I do when I am shooting pictures is that I have a vision of how I want the picture to turn out. Given, it’s easier when shooting people because you can position them like you wish, but it’s doable with landscapes too. If you position yourself right and maybe change the small stuff that can be changed, you can achieve your vision. What I do with editing: Not much to be quite honest. I don’t actually edit a lot of my pictures. The ones I do edit are usually the ones I shoot on the gigs I’m at or my portrait pictures. I edit them to be how they were in real life, before capturing it. I chose how the colouring should be based on how I experienced it as I shot the picture. When I edit black and white, it is mostly because I want the picture to be a bit more dramatic or detailed or for other reasons.

Q: What software do you use to edit your pictures? A: As I’ve said before; I don’t edit most of my pictures. With that said, the software/program I use when I edit on my phone is an app called VSCO and sometimes I use Facetune also. On my computer I use Lightroom and I rarely use Photoshop.

Thank you so much! Sorry for the late reply, my life has been a bit hectic lately haha.

So, I took a look on your blog (don’t mind if I do) and my first advice would be to have somewhere on the blog people can click where it would show all your original work.

My second advice is quite simple and also the way I got my success, I guess:tags tags tags! If you add the tags to your things that you know people are going to be searching on Tumblr, you will most likely get more noticed online! I looked under the ‘photography’ tag and looked at what the more successful blogs had tagged their pictures with. If you wanna talk more about how to correctly tag your pictures, send me a message!
