       ❝ WOW, an entire new round? I knew there was a reason         I decided to date you. ❞

Simba joked as he stood up and looked for his coat and wallet.  It had been a while - far too long - since Simba and Nala had even  a few moments to themselves. Technically, Simba should probably  be studying but he really couldn’t be bothered. Courses could be  retaken, homework could be done later - his best friend and brilliant girlfriend deserved more time. 

     ❝ I’M SURE there’s more than one reason you decided to           date me. But I’ll have to guess on that.  ❞

What was the fun in knowing about it anyway? Especially since it would do  nothing than boost her ego which isn’t exactly what she wanted at the  moment. But Nala pursed her lips, running a hand through her hair in the  hopes of looking somewhat presentable as they went out but what did it matter anyway? She was more than sure her hair wasn’t flying everywhere and all it was was lunch. Nothing more. 

                                  ❝ So you ready to go now? ❞

He kissed her back quickly when she leaned in - he knew full well  that even if he had been in no mood to eat, he’d have taken her out  anyway. Simba had very little willpower when it came to Nala. 

“How original,” Simba laughed when she suggested her favourite  restaurant. “ As long as you quit hogging the breadsticks.”

             ❝ WHAT CAN I say? I have a preference. ❞

She couldn’t hold back the chuckle that quickly escaped from her lips,  more than happy to have finally been spending time with him knowing  that they were both busy and seldom ever had time to do anything  anymore. 

            ❝ Just because I feel particularly nice today -- I’ll                   pay for a second round of breadsticks. Deal? ❞

 Who could resist those eyes? Simba chuckled and closed his textbook. He wouldn’t even pretend like he was enjoying what he was reading -  statistics was his least favourite course and he took it only because he needed an elective. Something he heavily regretted now. 

“Lucky for you, I’m also hungry,” Simba said, turning and kissing her lightly on the nose. “What kind of food are you feelin’?”

 ❝ OH PLEASE, we would’ve gone anyway even if you weren’t       hungry. ❞

And she had known him long enough to know that that was utterly and  completely true. Not that she would ever thought of him to mind it. A  smile curved onto her lips, softer than before as his lips pressed against  the tip of her nose. She pulled away only for a moment to press her own against his -- Before standing up with her hands behind her back. 

                           ❝ How about.. The steak house? ❞

It was worth a shot. Not to mention it would be good to spend a little  time with him too, seeing as they hadn’t seen much of the other the last week or so. She leaned her chin on his shoulder, looking over with potentially hopeful eyes but no where near begging.
