Was that- No.  No it couldn’t be, could it?  There was no way she could be that lucky!

But…it seemed that fate had kind plans for Penny.  Kind plans that caused her to stare rather dumbfounded as Ruby grabbed onto her hands.  After a few silent moments, a wide smile broke across the android’s face, her hands turning a bit to hold onto her dear friend’s.

“Ruby!”  She chimed with an excitment that was even more heightened than usual.  Suddenly she moved forward, abandoning the hand holding to instead wrap her arms around the other and lift her up slightly in a semi-tight embrace.

“Oh Ruby!  You have no idea how glad I am to see you!  After I was rebuilt, I wanted to find you- but I was told you weren’t at your home!  And with the Transmit System down I couldn’t even get in touch with you!”

Penny..

Oh, she had so much to tell her.. About everything.. About how the fall of beacon went, how they traveled through Mistral, killed a Nucklavee, and did so much more together.. And how it hurt that she lost a good friend like Penny. But she was rebuilt! She was safe! And most of all, right here in front of her.

Ruby seemed to tear up, wiping one tear away from her cheek as she gave a smile. “Yeah.. Things have been hectic since Beacon happened.. I wasn’t sure.. if you WOULD get rebuilt, and I had loads of silly ideas like, if you did but you just forgot everything and..”

Her breath caught, a sob, choked back, as she remarked “I-I’m just happy to see you, Penny. I’m so happy..!”
