For a split second, Brett had to go through all the mental files on his roommate. Has Monty always been a DACA applicant? Has Brett carelessly forgotten such an important fact about his roommate? Is he facing deportation? Then, Monty explains his ‘less than legal’ activity – a substance party – and Brett is instantly relieved.

“Maybe you should think about Frank more,” he says, pointing the flash drive at Monty’s nose. He sounds so authoritative in a matter of seconds. Then, a quick examination on the flash drive brings forth his next question, “There’s no virus inside, is there? This is not a prank, is it?”

Not much asked about the exact content inside. Monty should know Brett isn’t going to simply hand it someone else’s work. Monty should also know Brett won’t tell on a friend regardless of what grade he gets.
