âWe were going to the National Skills Competition, but Iâm not sure if we still are or not,â - Victoria Forhan, O2 program participant Options and Opportunities (O2) future
Options and Opportunities, more commonly known as O2, is a co-op program offered to students at select Nova Scotia high schools.
âI know we want to talk about budget. Families are interested to know will the program be there for our family for our child? And I can assure them that it will,â said LeRoux.
But the O2 co-ordinator, speaking on condition of anonymity, said a cut would drastically change the way the program is delivered.
âThey can tell everybody âyes itâs still in place,â however, I assume it will be at a fraction of what weâve had before,â he said.
âWeâre expected to provide anywhere between 12 to 15 field trips,â the co-ordinator said.
âBetween busing and hiring a substitute teacher, thatâs about a $600 to $700 venture. With $2,500 we wouldnât be able to provide a fraction of that.â
Read More Thank you @tainted-petals for sending me this. I hadnât heard of the O2 program before this. Co-op programs are fantastic, and this is unfortunate that theyâre going to lose a lot of support.

man. Remember the first time you watched Thor: Ragnarok (2017) Dir. Taika Waititi and hela asked thor âwhat were you the god of again?â and then it went to loki smirking and you KNEW something good was coming. And then immigrant song started to kick in and the LIGHTING started and you felt your SOUL leave your body and go to another plan of existance. Then Thor desending lighting and all onto that pile of aliens in slow motion looking goddamn RENAISSANCE painting? That moment changed me! the DRAMA! The rest of that scene? Valkyrie, Loki, and Hulk fighting together? Thorâs LIGHTING striking those aliens straight outta there like they were fucking ants? ICONIC! The iconic truly JUMPED out of that movie! Taika Waititi took my hand in that movie, told me it was all gonna be ok and then changed my life FOREVER! That was ART! Mr. Waititi thank you for my LIFE
I read a short story where a woman character âalways looked forward to her periodâ because it was âa reminder of her womannessâ and YES! The story WAS in fact written by a male!
