the justice system needs to be tough on rape and honestly if a couple innocent dudes go to prison for it thatâs collateral damage im willing to accept if the greater result is girlsâ safety
The justice system is so tough on rape already that merely accusing someone gets them publically destroyed, fired, kicked out of school, beat up, etc. etc. long before any proof or trial is ever provided. There are so many very public cases of women lying about being raped but the damage has been done. Some of these innocent men have gone on to commit suicide. Itâs not âcollateral damageâ. Human lives arenât just disposable for the âgreater goodâ. Peopleâs lives matter. Jesus Christ.
Is the man on the right (Tom Robinson) just âcollateral damageâ as well, OP?
Louder for the people in the back!!!
Rosewood
Started when a black Rosewood resident was lynched because of unsupported accusations that a white woman in nearby Sumner had been beaten and possibly raped by a black drifter. When the townâs black citizens rallied together to defend themselves against further attacks, a mob of several hundred whites combed the countryside hunting for black people, and burned almost every structure in Rosewood!Â
THIS IS THE STORY OF Â ROBIN STACY
Reuben Stacy, a 37-year-old black man, hangs from a tree on Old Davie Road in Fort Lauderdale, blood trickling down his body and dripping off his toes. Behind him, a white girl, about 7 years old, looks on, a strange smile on her face as she takes in the sight of the âstrange fruitâ her elders had just created that hot day in July 1935.
Stacy was accused of attempting to assault a white woman in her home after first asking for a glass of water. According to a 1993 telling of the story, he was arrested three days later 25 miles from the scene. But no trial was ever conducted, and mere hours after his arrest, Stacy was hanged and shot.
The infamous photograph of Stacyâs death might be one of the few visual accounts of a lynching in Florida, but a new report from the Equal Justice Initiative about lynching across the American South reminds us that the Sunshine State was among the most brutal in the country when it come to race-fueled executions of black people. Per capita, Floridians lynched at a higher rate than any other state.
WILLIE BROWN
the story of a black man who was hung, had his lifeless corpse dragged through the street and set on fire to the cheers of the Omaha citizens all for a false rape accusation.
âSensationalized local mediaâ reports of the alleged rape of 19-year-old Agnes Loebeck on September 25, 1919 triggered the violence associate with Will Brownâs lynching. The following day, police arrested 41-year-old Will Brown as a suspect. Loebeck identified Brown as her rapist, although later reports by the Omaha Police Department and the United States Armystated that she had not made a positive identification. There was an unsuccessful attempt to lynch Brown on the day of his arrest.
The Omaha Bee, which published a series of sensational articles alleging many incidents of black outrages, publicized the incident as one of a series of alleged attacks on white women by black men.A political machine opposed to the newly elected reform administration of Mayor Smith controlled the Omaha Bee. It highlighted alleged incidents of âblack criminalityâ to embarrass the new administration. more here
They burned him alive in an iron cage, and as he screamed and writhed in the agony of hell they made a sport of his death!!
His name was  Jesse Washington.
Here is the photograph. Take a good look at Jesse Washingtonâs stiffened body tied to the tree. He had been sentenced to death for the murder of a white woman. No witnesses saw the crime; he allegedly confessed but the truth of the allegations would never be tested. The grand jury took just four minutes to return a guilty verdict, but there was no appeal, no review, no prison time. Instead, a courtroom mob dragged him outside, pinned him to the ground, and cut off his testicles. A bonfire was quickly built and lit. For two hours, Jesse Washington â alive â was raised and lowered over the flames. Again and again and again. City officials and police stood by, approvingly. According to some estimates, the crowd grew to as many as 15,000. There were taunts, cheers and laughter. Reporters described hearing âshouts of delight.â
When the flames died away, Washingtonâs body was torn apart and the pieces were sold as souvenirs!! more there
The 1920 Duluth Lynching began much like the Marion Lynching - a girl, 19 year old Irene Tusken and her man, 18 year old James Sullivan claiming rape and assault against six black laborers in the James Robinson Circus. Though a physicianâs inspection of Tusken showed no sign of rape or assault, rumors began to spread throughout the town that Tusken had died from the incident. The six men said to be responsible were imprisoned in the Duluth city jail in the local police station. Thousands of whites gathered outside, armed to the teeth, pelting the facade of the jail and took six men, including Elias Clayton, Elmer Jackson, and Isaac McGhie. Not a shot was fired by police, who had been ordered not to resist.
A false trial was held for the six men, and Clayton, Jackson, and McGhie were found guilty by the mob of raping Irene Tusken. They were then beaten and hung on a lamp post in the main thoroughfare of the town; the mob thereafter dispersed. The men in the mob believed to be responsible for the killings either slipped through the fingers of authorities or were acquitted by sympathetic juries; ultimately, the only resulting convictions were related to charges of rioting. more here
Thomas Shipp and Abram Smith were African American men who were lynchedon August 7, 1930, in Marion, Indiana, after being taken from jail and beaten by a mob. They had been arrested that night as suspects in a robbery, murder and rape case. A third African American suspect, more here
Not seen in the picture above is James Herbert Cameron the third boy to be lynched. HE MIRACULOUSLY SURVIVED!!l
On Aug. 7, 1930, 16-year-old Cameron and two older teenage friends, Thomas Shipp and Abram Smith were arrested and accused of murder, robbery and rape. A whyte couple was parked in a lovers lane when the trio came upon them and one of the group suggested robbing the couple. Cameron later said he changed his mind and ran away before the man, Claude Deeter, 23, was fatally shot. The woman later denied being raped. The three were caught quickly and arrested and charged the same night.
A lynch mob broke into the jail where Cameron and his two friends were being held. According to Cameronâs own account, the two older boys were taken out first, beaten and lynched by a mob of 12,000-15,000 at the Grant County Courthouse Square. Shipp was taken out and beaten, hanged from the bars of his jail window; Smith was dead from beating before the mob hanged both the boys from a tree in the square. The bodies of these two men, Tom Shipp, 18, and Abraham Smith, 19, hanging from a tree is depicted in a famous and disturbing photograph.
Scottsboro BoysÂ
Following an altercation with a group of white teens, nine Black teenagers were accused of rape by two women in 1931 in Paint Rock, Alabama. Eventually, one of the women admitted to fabricating the story. The Scottsboro case is considered a landmark case, leading to the prohibition on all-white juries.
Central Park Five
Five Black and Hispanic boys between the ages of 14-16 were convicted of the 1989 assault and rape of Trisha Meili, a white woman who was jogging in New Yorkâs Central Park, in a case that drew national headlines and outraged many in the city. They were convicted on the basis of coerced confessions and faulty scientific evidence. The convictions were vacated in 2002 when Matias Reyes, a convicted rapist and murderer serving a life sentence for other crimes, confessed to committing the crime alone and DNA evidence confirmed his involvement in the rape. Â
Darryl Hunt case
In 1984, Hunt, an African-American man from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, at the age of 19 was convicted of the rape and murder of a white woman named Deborah Sykes â despite the fact that there was no physical evidence tying him to the crimes. Even with no evidence, he was sentenced by an all-white jury to life in prison. Ten years later, he was cleared of the rape when DNA testing proved he had never committed that crime. Despite the rape being central to the overall crime, he spent an additional nine years in prison until a man named Willard Brown confessed to both acts. After 19 years in prison, Hunt was finally exonerated in 2004.Â
SADLY NOT TOO LONG AFTER HIS EXONERATION HE TOOK HIS OWN LIFE.Â
I donât think itâs unreasonable to say that if he was not robbed of 19 years of his life and forced to live in a cage like an animal he might still be alive. He probably wouldnât have given up.
Clarence Moses-EL,Â
did 28 years in prison for a sexual assault conviction. Moses-EL was charged with rape in 1987. Initially, the rape victim named the three men she had been drinking with as her possible attackers. Then, a day and a half later, she dreamed that her neighbor, Clarence Moses-EL, was the attacker. She told the police, and they arrested him. The three men she first named were never investigated. There was no physical evidence linking Moses-EL to the crime. The dream was the only piece of âevidenceâ offered against him. LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN! The DREAM was the only ONLY PIECE OF âEVIDENCEâ offered against him !!! The FUCKING DREAM was the only ONLY PIECE OF âEVIDENCEâ offered against him !!!
Brian Keith Banks
In the summer of 2002, Banks was arrested and charged after classmate Wanetta Gibson falsely accused him of dragging her into a stairway at Polytechnic High School (Poly) and raping her. In March 2011, Gibson contacted Banks on Facebook! âSORRY I FALSELY ACCUSED YOU OF RAPE,MY BAD.âÂ
An then there are the flat-out hoaxes
Season Smith killed her own children and blamed it on a black man who didnât exist
Bonnie Sweeten said two black men snatched her and her 9-year-old daughter from their SUV and abducted them in the trunk of a black Cadillac only to be found she was in a luxury hotel at Disney World.Â
Then Breana Harmon Talbott who made up a widely publicized story of being kidnapped and raped by 3 black men, police say?
in 2017 this Pure White virginal Aryan wannabe Barbie had the brilliant idea of making a rape hoax in the state of  Texas falsely accusing black men. Was she trying to start a Witch Hunt or a race war?
Now Iâm not calling anyone racist but a lot of you would be in those photos smiling as those niggers were burning to death not because you were racist but because you choose to blindly listen and believe without question because it aligns with your political beliefs.

Yup. This is what that evil woman had done to an innocent boy.
Even worse is that the bitch just RECENTLY confessed that her accusation was bullshit.
Hey OP do you still stand by your statement?
You know she dose.
Iâm screaming fuck these people what the hell
This is chilling⊠letâs hope history doesnât repeat itself. This is what happens when people twist historical narratives to serve their modern/progressive perspective.

Also with Moses-EL the evidence that could've helped prove his innocence was destroyed because no one wanted to admit their mistake. People would rather let innocent men suffer than admit to their wrongdoings.

why DO teenage girls go through a witch/occult phase? I had tarot cards and a spellbook and I knew a group of girls who messed with ouija boards and another who had ghost hunting equipment. âoh yeah Cindyâs just going through that girly phase where she tries to raise the dead.â
Not a girl but my guess is rebellion against the established norms of âChristian Societyâ* because they insist on pushing certain roles and expectations on girls that are often unreasonable, outdated, and generally sexist.
*Iâm mainly talking American Christian society here, canât speak for places I have never been to/lived in. And even then this doesnât mean all of Christian society just the conservative part of it.
new ebbits! new site!
this is probably my favourite comic of all time jsyk
Sure thing! For convenience Iâll refer to the guy with his arms in his pockets as SG (shorter guy) and the one on the computer as TG (taller guy).
In the first panel, SG sees TG playing on the computer and is disappointed. SG puts a lot of value in the idea of âmaking things,â specifically âart,â and thinks TG is just wasting their time
So he asks them if they wouldnât rather be âmaking somethingâ instead of just playing games and listening to music, implying that TG isnât doing anything worthwhile or creative with their time
But TG replies that âinterpreting is generative,â meaning that even if they spend their time just doing fun stuff, the mere act of enjoying something is creating an experience and an interpretation. Talking about something, dancing to music or sharing a piece of art with your friends ISÂ âmaking something,â and each of those can be worthwhile and artistic.
SG leaves, complaining he âcanât be an auteur of [interpretation].â Auteur is a movie term that refers to a filmmaker with artistic control and vision enough to be considered essentially the singular creator of the resulting work of art. Turns out, SG doesnât just want to âmake things,â he wants to make things he and others see as âimportant.â He wants to make art not for the sake of art, but for the sake of being recognized and praised for his art.
This comic really speaks to elitism within the artistic community, the idea that art needs to meet certain standards to be considered art. SGâs viewpoint is really traditionalist, that art need to be âapprovedâ and validated in order to be considered âreally art;â while TG recognizes that art can be as little as just talking about what you love.
TLDR: Art is for everyone, not just some sort of social âartistic elite.â
ooh i love the explanation
Rebloging for that in depth and not even a little snarky explanation. 10/10
Gonna be real I was the shorter guy until reading this and i feel kinda like an asshole ut good job OP for changin my mind
Huh, I never thought of it like that, that's a really cool explanation. You go TG, live your lifestyle babe.
If you think about it, it kinda makes sense that the Dursleys abused Harry. We now know that he was a horcrux. Being around one turned the Golden Trio into hypersensitive assholes after a few months, imagine what 10 years would be like. And this is on top of the fact that they were already horrible people who hated him at birth. I have at least a little sympathy for them because of the mental tricks Voldemortâs soul played on them. It certainly exacerbated their already nasty behavior.
If it was harrys fault then after a few months ron and hermione would begin acting weird. His friends were never affected by him being a horcrux, thus the durselys had no excuse.Â
I donât get why JKR is so secretive about the process of making a horcrux. Itâs not like any of her readers have magic wands and therefore the ability to make one. Saying âOh, Iâm not going to tell you, but I told my editor and they almost threw upâ is just pointless teasing.
If kids are willing to try and murder their friend in the woods to make an offering to slenderman, I 100% bet you someone somewhere would try and make a horcrux and kill somebody. Better safe than sorry.
Why Itâs not true.
I keep hearing the theory that the Dursely were evil (mean) to Harry because he was a Horcrux but I disagree and this is why.Â
Yes, they spent a great deal of time with Harry for 10 years. But once he left they should have not been affected by him anymore, right.Â
Once he returned they wouldnât have been so nasty to him right away. It would have taken days at least to be affected again.
At Hogwarts, he spent years with Ron in classes, as roommates, during summer and Holidays. Years and Ron was one of the nicest people towards him.Â
That includes other friends like Hermione, Neville the rest of the Weasleyâs. None of them showed any signs of that nastiness.Â
When Ron did show he was affected he was actively holding a Horcrux.
Once he walked away he regretted his actions. His anger towards Harry was not solely from the Horcrux but his fears and worries.
So, in conclusion, The Dursleys were mean to Harry Because they feard what was different than them. Not because he was a Horcrux.Â
That and literally the first chapter of the first book McGonagall warns Dumbledore that they're the worst possible human beings to exist. Petunia hated Lily before Harry was even born. And I think they met his father before he was born as well and hated them.
dark sided
can bisexuals/ âpansexualsâ and straight transtrenders stop calling themselves gay? like seriously? if youâre not gay why throw around the word 100 times a day?
oh yeah thatâs right, because gay is your âaestheticâ and your accessory and not a simple descriptor of sexuality anymore
donât complain about bi erasure ever again until you keep that word out of your fucking mouths
it isnât actually harming anyone though? like if someone asks you your sexuality dont say youre gay when youre not gay thats A Minor Annoyance and Very Confusing but no ones getting harmed by it. theyre usually either in their phase or just really awkward lmao
OP: Dude gay is an umbrella word and a sexuality. Bi is gay. Pan is gay. Trans is gay. Lesbian is gay. Gay is gay. Theyre all gay. If you wanna go out and find a âspecialâ label for yourself so you can exclude people, fine. Heres the âso gay i decide what attractions are called gay even though when bi people get killed for their sexuality its because theyre gayâ badge. You can also have the âI decide whos lying about their genderâ badge.
My sexuality isnt an aesthetic. My gender isnt a fun choice. No ones is. If I call myself fucking gay itâs because I dont want to open myself up to people claiming my sexuality is a phase and eventually ill choose a side. Its because when I was bullied as a kid for âlooking like a lesbianâ they didnt make the distinction of me being bi. Its because gay is same sex attraction and/or deviation from gender assigned at birth, as it always has been, its an umbrella term. If you want a new word for bi and âfake transâ people (fuck you by the way, if someone wants to experiment with gender identity they have every fucking right to do so) go make one and be sure to visit every fucking bully who called me and people like me fags back in school and tell them. Iâm sure theyâll listen to you.
If you want to argue this, please feel free, as long as you are respectful. When the respect ends, the conversation ends and I block you.
Calling all trans people gay is transphobic.
Gay is exclusively same gender attracted and is not an umbrella term.
Stop appropriating it.
TRANS IS GAY
trans isnt gay but bi/pan, lesbian and gay are also gay
gay is gay
lesbian is gay
bi is bi
bi people experience gay attraction, can be in gay relationships, participate in gay culture and face prejudice for the same reason gay people do, so theyre under the gay umbrella.
but theyâre bi. they will never be gay until they are no longer opposite sex attracted
gay is an umbrella term for all same sex attracted people jesus christ
Gay means homosexual. Bisexuality isnât homosexuality. Bi is not gay.
bruh if a bi guy fucks a homosexual guy Iâm calling them both gay.
you are erasing the bi dudeâs sexuality, then
Bruh. Theyâre doing some gay shit. That means theyâre fucking gay.
Bi people do gay shit. Theyâre fucking gay.
âgay shitâ
are you 13?
Call it âhomosexual relations and activityâ then since apparently you think âgay shitâ (a slang term) is somehow less mature than âgayâ (a slang word in and of itself).
Listen, little kid, I get that you have the intellectual and emotional maturity of a thirteen-year-old, no need to project.
1) Itâs called gay sex
2) Iâm older than you
1) Exactly! Thatâs why we call people who do it, and why people who do it call themselves, gay!
2) You make it very easy to assume otherwise, perhaps work on that.
Iâm a bisexual man. I keep this information widely open. But I still will call myself gay on occasion, make jokes about me being gay, or just say that Iâm gay when I donât feel like going into detail about how Iâm technically bi but I have a boyfriend and I intend on marrying him and my attractions swing mostly toward men in about a 75/25 ratio. So yes. Iâm bi. But I do the gay shit. I am the gay shit. Piss off OP.
Youâre still bisexual is the bottom line. I am the gay shitâ makes no sense what so ever.
Tis a joke bc Iâm fuckin gay in literally every way that matters. If I were on the dating market and open to dating women, itâd be a different story. But Iâm not. Iâm in a gay relationship. A lot of bi people who go on about being gay are in gay relationships, or looking for a gay relationship. There are fewer bi folks who are in straight relationships going around screaming about how gay they are. But hereâs the thing. Iâm in a gay relationship. If I get fired from my job, itâs not because of the part of me that likes women. If Iâm harassed and beat up on the street, it wonât be because Iâm holding hands with a girl. If Iâm disowned by my parents⊠well, that one would be for liking girls due to me being trans and them still seeing me as a girl, but thatâs irrelevant. Point is, the way my life is lived right now, my attraction to women is pretty irrelevant. And yea, at the end of the day, Iâm bisexual. But in a gay relationship, planning on getting gay married, the distinction isnât that important in everyday conversation. So âscuse me as I wave my bi and rainbow flags high, because while I wonât deny being bi, I still get all the same shit for being gay.
Just because you experience misdirected homophobia doesnât mean youâre gay.
Again. Gay relationship. Gonna get gay married. Gay in all the ways that count. My attraction to women is more or less irrelevant at this point in my life. It doesnât mean itâs not there or that Iâm not still bi, but seeing as I am in a gay relationship, it seems pretty appropriate to use it as an umbrella term.
âGay in all the ways that countâ
So Iâm guessing fuck all the actually gay people out there who arenât oh-so-mature like you and getting married soon?
Fuck all the single homosexuals am I right? They donât matter?
Youâre the alpha gay because youâre pretty much engaged, even though youâre bi
Laughable pal
what the fuck does this even mean
Im in a gay relationship. Therefore, i relate heavily to the âgay experienceâ. My liking women has almost no effect on my life right now. It doesnât mean itâs gone, it just means that itâs more or less irrelevant. This is not a diss to single gay people and I have no fuckin clue how you got that. What the hell, youâre reaching buddy
again âgay in all the ways that matterâ
Iâm in a gay relationship
Iâm getting gay married
Iâm attracted to men more often than I am women.
When describing my relationship and attractions, I am going to use the word gay sometimes because my attraction to women is irrelevant.
That is not a bash at single gay people. That is simply saying âIâm in a gay relationship, I like gay sex, I like dudes, thatâs pretty fuckin gayâ. I say gay because my attraction to women is currently irrelevant. I am still bisexual, but so many aspects of my life are âI LIKE THE SAME SEX AND AM DATING SOMEONE OF THE SAME SEX SO IF MY RELATIONSHIP IS GAY I AM GOING TO USE IT AS A DESCRIPTOR SOMETIMESâ
Gay is a descriptor for the attraction to the same sex.
Bisexual is a descriptor for the attraction to both sexes.
If I am speaking exclusively about my attraction to one gender, why is it necessary that I use the term that talks about both?
Iâm gonna keep using gay.
P.s. you forget that the word gay was adapted from a word that meant happy, then promiscuous, and was slowly changed to mean same-sex attracted person. The word itself is slang for someone attracted to the same sex. And the dictionary definition of it?
âof, relating to, or exhibiting sexual desire or behavior directed toward a person or persons of oneâs own sexâ
Nowhere does it say âexclusivelyâ
Gay means exclusively same gender attracted otherwise exclusively same gender attracted people wouldnât only have the word âgayâ to describe themselves.
Have fun being desperate to be gay for some strange reason. Youâre bisexual and youâre being really weird about your labels.
Would you do the same if you were straight? I severely doubt.
I literally just gave you the dictionary definition of gay, mate. And they donât only have the term âgayâ, how thick are you? The word youâre describing is literally âhomosexualâ. Thatâs the word. Notice that that term isnât used as frequently in bisexual circles. Gay is the umbrella term because it describes attraction to the same gender. Jesus Christ dude.
Iâm not desperate to be gay. I acknowledge that Iâm bisexual. Wouldnât have listed it in my bio otherwise. I describe the aspects of my life that are gay as such. I use it when describing my relationship and my attraction to men. Thatâs⊠thatâs it.
And would I call myself gay if I were dating a woman? Nah. Thereâs no shame in being straight, or in being in a straight relationship.
Oh so dictionary definitons count now do they? sure
Nah Iâm pretty sure announcing youâre homosexual in casual conversation is very weird. Bi is a fairly casual prefix in our language (i.e bicycle, bimonthly) Homo is way too formal and clunky for the way we speak.
The scale is gay (exclusively same sex attracted men)
Bisexual (attracted to both sexes)
Lesbian (exclusively same sex attracted female)
Thatâs why itâs LGBT, smartass.
And yes, lesbians get to call themselves gay, of course, because they ARE. But that means they have two terms for themselves.
Bisexuals have one and the abbreviation.
And what do gay men get? Oh yeah thatâs right. Fuck all.
Remind me whoâs barring gay men from using the term gay? Remind me how bisexual people using the term to describe their relationships or day to day in relation to their attraction to the same sex is somehow hurting gay guys? Explain that to me because I sure as hell am not understanding it.
When I use gay, itâs exclusively within the context of my attraction to my boyfriend. Whenever we do something excessively cheesy, Iâll tell him âthatâs gayâ. Whenever Iâm talking about him a little too much, my friends will tell me that my gay is showing. Why do I not use bi within these contexts? Because it doesnât make sense. Because it is referencing both sexes when Iâm expressing my attraction toward just the one.
And I acknowledge that announcing that youâre homosexual is clunky and weird, which is why you use gay in place to express that youâre attracted to the same gender. I was telling you that the word you were describing was not âGAYâ, though. The word you were describing is homosexual. Im a writer, buddy, I can battle semantics and language with you all day, this is not a fight you want to get into.
Gay = attraction to the same sex
Homosexual = exclusive attraction to the same sex.
The gay suffices perfectly fine in casual conversation because it lets the other party know that you are interested in the same sex. That is all that it reveals. It is perfectly sufficient within casual conversation.
Edit: also yes dictionary definitions fucking matter you fuckin imbecile what the actual fuck
ooooooooo youâre a âwriterâ iâm fucking terrified. sorry that you writing fanfic makes you oh so smarter than me fucking charles dickens
honestly you look like youâre about 16 youâre probably sitting your gcses you stuck up prickÂ
appropriation of the term gay is harmful because it glorifies gayness and that is bad as i will get to later. plenty of bi people will throw the word gay around when they could quite easily scream âiâm straight!!!â and the reason for that is? being gay is a cool quirky accessory. (and no, iâm not talking about you and your fucking boyfriend, not everything revolves around you, you fat fuck)Â
same with non binary people who are like âno matter who i date itâs gay!â even though they could easily replace gay with straight but never. do.
back to why glorifying being gay is bad fuck dude ive explained this so many times on my fucking blog im tired gay people are fetishised and tokenised and infantilised and then the bisexuals have the audacity to blame us for bi erasure likeâŠ.we didnt fucking do anything
keep on acting like king of the gays, tranny

Iâve been raking in cash for my writing abilities since I was 13, and am an actual published author for some work in a technical document for the local department of energy. I can battle fucking semantics. But uh, yeah, you lose all your credibility when you start throwing around insults that have absolutely nothing to do with the conversation. Absolutely lost all credibility when you began insulting me based on my appearance and started throwing slurs. But yeah, nice one. And I guarantee that Iâm smarter than you because I know simple rules of debate, dumbass.
Iâll give you that yes, gay people are often tokenized and infantilized, and this is wrong. But you did not SPECIFY THAT THIS IS WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT, YOU SAID THAT BI PEOPLE SHOULD STOP CALLING THEMSELVES GAY, REGARDLESS OF CONTEXT. If you want to make a post about the over glorification of the LGBT community, by all means, do so, but do not ignore the grey areas that you are treading through. But what you are complaining about rarely exists out of Tumblr spheres because where I live, itâs still an act of controversy to even BE gay. Itâs still a subject of ridicule and bullying, so outside of Tumblr spheres and sjw circles, this is pretty much a non-issue.
And one more thing I will say is that taking pride in oneâs identity within the lgbt community is not something one should have to be ashamed of. I was born and raised in Bible Belt, U.S.A. Where gay is a sin and you canât go too far without hearing about it. Where trannies are OBVIOUSLY trying to rape your kids. Where youâll be called It simply for being trans. Taking pride and saying I AM ATTRACTED TO THE SAME SEX, I AM GAY, is still an act of great courage. When youâre taught your whole life to be ashamed, there should be no shame in loving yourself and being proud of who you are. Not in the very fact that you are gay to begin with, but in the fact that you have overcome. Saying that youâre gay, that youâre something other than straight, is an act of defiance.
The bi erasure⊠pretty sure theyre usually blaming straights for that but idk who youâve been talking to.
Anyway, go fuck yourself.
Gay people should not call themselves gay in any fucking context you cretin. You are attracted to men and women therefore you are bisexual.
You should be ashamed of yourself, youâre fetishising gay men. You also canât understand meanings of basic words.Â
Rules of debate? How far your own ass are you kid. Youâre an obnoxious child. My intelligence is irrelevant and you can barely assume youâre smarter than me seeing as youâre seeing one side to me and only seeing me when Iâm typing and constructing arguments on the internet colloquially because itâs fucking tumblr not a dissertation you pretentious fuck.
So tranny is a slur and queer isnât? Cool, whatever.
Stay pressed sisÂ
Oh weâre misgendering now, are we? Iâm a bro, not a sis.
I find it hysterical that you call yourself truscum but are so quick to misgender actual dysphoric trans men. Which I am. Claim Iâm simply fetishizing gay men. Wooow.
Tranny is a slur, queer is a slur, both these slurs can be reclaimed and used, but can still be used as slurs nonetheless. I call myself a tranny, but itâs still a slur when someone else says it in a derogatory way. Context. Something you donât seem to understand.
Iâm not fetishizing gay men. Iâm a bisexual man in a gay relationship who calls the nature of his relationship what it is and refers to himself in such a manner. Youâre the one who canât comprehend simple dictionary definitions.
Rules of debate
Number 8.
When engaging in discourse, there are pretty simple rules to follow still. Or you can not, and make a fool of yourself and show yourself for a temperamental child who cannot hold a discussion without going for attacks at someoneâs personhood. Thatâs a sign of a weak argument. But yeah. Whatever.
Now I will be following rule #9. This is over, I owe you no more of my time.
Well this is one of the most heated semantic discussions Iâve ever stumbled across on this wasteland of a website
Semantics are kinda my thing, I can get very heated over themâŠ. But ngl, that was a waste of a perfectly good evening.
