Forever buying antique books for no reason. A book on Arabic grammar and I can't speak Arabic... Yet.

I'm in Starbucks procrastinating and they are playing Joy Divisions 'Love will tear is apart' and it made me remember something. For my year 11 GCSE media project we had to make a music video and I was put in a group with these boys. My teacher mr Williamson did that intentionally. He was weird but cool, always recommending me good shows to watch like The Wire and Dexter. Anyway, we ended up doing a music video for this RnB song by taio Cruz which is actually up on YouTube. I remember the boys didn't let me do much (unfortunately). I did some of the editing of the footage they filmed though. Regardless we had to submit a side report about influences for the music video etc and back in that day I was super into indie music and alternative rock etc and I said that one of my influences was 'love will tear is apart' music video which wasn't really true, I was just into that song at that time. I did really well in media. I loved it and I wish I could've continued it or film studies or photography or something. Random anecdote. -H

Notes to self:

If I’m going to procrastinate from, at least procrastinate by reading the news or something

Be more spiritual as that helps with being present

Listen more, talk less. Focus on the other person. Remember that in the greater scheme of all things you are not more important that anyone else so don’t try and centre yourself always

Realise that although you may be comfortable, your conversee(?) may be not be so stop casually making jokes that can be misinterpreted and cause offence. 

When anxious, depressed, read something

Spring

Ways I hope to improve myself: 1. Writing down what’s in my head first thing in the morning. 2. Wake up before 7 when my roomie gets up for work. 3. Be clean: have clean as possible face, teeth and hands for as much of day as possible. 4. Work on sorting out my posture, foot alignment via yoga and my new ecco shoes. 5. Buy a different vegetable each time at the market that can be eaten raw: radishes, celery, avocado etc. 6. Get through 4 or 5 big glasses of water at work. 7. Walk somewhere everyday. 8. Avoid breathing in pollution on the street: considering one pf those mask things. 9. Sit on my windowsill at breakfast as I check mail/news/write. 10. Be careful with my hair: condition fully, avoid breakage. 11. More fresh less baked. 12. Meet someone or do *something* everyday. 13. Ring my mum. 14. Send letters home to family and friends.

Hi M!

My life has been so repetitive lately I feel like I'm forgetting the things i did like 2 days ago but I'm really not, its just that nothing remarkable had happened. A lunar eclipse happened like two days ago but it could only really be observed in the americas. Regardless, yesterday and the day before the moon has been so large and bright. Overwhelming. And so close to the horizon. It freaks me out that I won't be able to see and experience everything in my lifetime.
