Is it just me, or Rib has stopped uploading songs. .I really miss his voice.. been searching information about him.. kinda worried.
I’ve seen many people worried about him lately (esp foreign fans who -compared to jp fans- lack of information due language barrier) so I will just list things I know
- His last uploaded video was Akaito from February 2015, which means it’s almost 1 full year without new upload.
- He finished one hell of schedule regarding his 3rd album release and live tour by holding live broadcast on March 2015, and has been relatively quiet since then. He still could be seen on twitter quiet often, I personally think the reason was because it’s close to his 3 anniversaries (his first-upload anniversary, his community anniversary, and his birthday)
- His last live broadcast was on June 2015, a day before his birthday (he ended up extend the broadcast until his birthday tho), he said he’s been quiet busy with real life and that he actually wanted to upload new video, he got some songs recorded in hand but he’s unsure of uploading it.
- After that he still sometimes could be seen on twitter (talking about food and random things as usual) but surely on low pace. on September 2015 Soraru tweeted that Rib hasn’t been around (on the internet) lately but he’s doing just fine and they sometimes met and went playing together in private.
- From October 16th until November 28th (more than a month) he hasn’t been anywhere and people were worried since he rarely off from twitter for more than a month, but he came back, thanked for reaching over 30k followers on twitter and stated that there has been many things happened on last month but he’s doing fine.
- He continued by tweeting random things, and someone replied him saying they went to Disneyland with friends who gather because they were fellow Rib’s fans. Rib then tweeted this

Rib : It’s kinda gross to say, but seeing fellow fans getting along well and having fun at Disneyland, I come to think ‘good, from now on you will be okay even without me’.
While myself being the reason people come to know each other, seeing them making more deep relation on things unrelated with me is making me happy!
- Some fans responded his last tweed with worried tone, reading his line of ‘you will be okay even without me’. people come to assume he started his step of leaving us.
- Responding that, Rib tweeted again
@singing_rib: 決してネガティヴな意味じゃなくね！知り合ったきっかけがいてもいなくてもどっちでも、人として仲良くなったから関係ないんだ〜！ってとこまでいってくれてるのが単純に嬉しいのじゃ。そんな関係を築くまでのきっかけとして寄与させてもらえることなんてなかなかあるもんじゃないし。ありがたや。
Rib: It wasn’t any of bad meaning!
I was just purely happy seeing people get along well, with or without the former reason they get to know each other, just as person to person.
And having the pleasure to became the start of some relationships isn’t something common. I’m thankful.
- After that Rib has became silent again and just randomly went on twitter saying random things and was last tweeted a happy new year. He hasn’t been around after that.
Conclusion: I’m not the one to say, but I still pretend he’s still on utaite world. He has not word anything about retirement or something similar. So let’s just assume he’s been busy in real life (which is good for him because it means he’s living his life). and if you worried about his condition (health or mental or else), admit it that us, fans of people who live on internet, couldn’t get into their private that far, esp since Rib is quiet the private person. it’s a waste worrying if he’s been sick or losing his phone or something happened in usual life, as far as he’s not opening it up to us (speak up on broadcast or write on twitter). If he has been in any condition related to his career (?) as utaite, I think he will speak up himself so as far as he doesn’t, let’s assume he’s doing just fine. I know your feeling, we all like someone and get worried not hearing from them for some time, but let’s just chill and wait. Who knows if he got some surprises hidden on his sleeves? (^^)
