IMPORTANT ITEMS TIP
Always, always, ALWAYS pack an extra outfit or two. It never hurts to have a spare shirt, skirt, or pants! You never know if you'll spill something, get a rip, etc etc. And you don't want that in your photo op. :)

My friend, @king-dean, designed these beautiful inserts for my con portfolios!! 😊 It's a great way to keep all the years organized at a glance.
BEFORE CON ORGANIZATIONAL TIP If you are getting a book (or in my case, books) autographed. Post it note all the pages you want autographed with the name of the guest. I color code by day, pink is for Friday, yellow is for Saturday and blue is for Sunday. Doing it in advance will give you a chance to find that perfect page for that signature and you won't be fumbling to flip to that page while in line. 😊 Also, some guests will personalize. Make a separate post it note with your name and stick it to the page when you go up to see the actor or actress. (When not getting autographs, I keep my name note inside the front cover. This is actually the post it note from my first con three years ago!!)

BEFORE THE CON FUN TIP Download yourself a countdown app!! It's fun to keep track of how many months, weeks, and days till your con! Plus, it helps with planning your saving and budget!
Any idea where I can find demon eye contacts kinda cheap...I've been looking around and all of then are pretty expansive
Hey anon! I personally have never purchased contacts for cosplay purposes. I did Google a bit, and it seems that the cheapest I could find was $80. Which, I'm sure is still in the expensive range. If anyone else has some ideas on this, please let me know!!
IMPORTANT ITEMS TIP
Always, always, ALWAYS pack Emergen-C, Airborne or any other immune system boost for the con weekend. Being in such a large group of people, you'll be exposed to a lot of germs. Don't get stuck with post con crud. It sucks. (Especially if you have to work on Monday!! Ha)
AT THE CON ORGANIZATIONAL TIP
If you are attending a con and are getting photo-ops, you’ll need a good place to store and carry them! We don’t want those precious pictures bent or damaged while at the con or traveling home.
I personally use an 8 ½ inch by 11 inch art portfolio. Exact one can be found on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000AE68O/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_Pbk6vbK79QA3B It’s sturdy, compact and has 24 sleeves (48 papers and photos can be displayed)!!
For keeping your tickets safe, I recommend putting them in a pouch. It's easy to slip into your portfolio, and it's nice to have after the con too!! They can be found at places that sell school or office supplies (ie Staples, Office Depot, Target or WalMart).
Before the con, the schedule will be released. I will copy and paste the info into my own document, each day will have their own page. Then, I will color code all the experiences I purchased or plan on purchasing. Pink: m&g Blue: photo-ops Green: autographs Yellow: Things we want to do
If you are planning on getting several photo-ops and want to get digital copies, I would recommend making a sheet in advance to write all your photo numbers on.
Feel free to send me an ask with any questions!!! And visit my blog for more con tips!
AFTER CON TIP
Create a cool photo book with all your photos from shutterfly.com! This is an easy way to have all your photo-ops, panel pics, and personal pictures together! Plus, it’s super cute, personalized and fun to show off!!
If you plan on going to future cons, this item is great to get autographed! (It’s what I’ve had Jensen & Jared sign for the past two years!!)
Here is my photobook from Burcon 2014!
p.s The best time to order these books are around the holiday season, they usually give out a code for a FREE photobook, you just have to pay shipping ($10 ish)
