but anyway i did think real hard abt this & wonder if yall agree: but rin is the Wound to me bc hes currently the biggest driver of haru’s abandonment issues + is the lifechanging hurt & deeply valuable lesson (swimming w others!! people & bonds that r special to you!!!) #inflicted upon haru

; meanwhile haru is the Dull Blade as the object of both rin’s dreams + insecurities that he is prone to #punishing himself and even haru with (eg. being overly critical of himself. wanting to be honest w haru but holding back anyway). even if haru does admire (and love) him in return :{

(^ id argue this is where the Dullness comes in too, where not even the blade in this specific scenario is intended to hurt the wielder, but bc of the necessary motion & force (miscommunication. conflict. etc etc) to get where theyre needed to be. still ends up w them both hurting anyway. its all love though okay!!!!!)
