Regretting You by Colleen Hoover

My rating: 2.8/5 tiffcliffs

This novel follows two protagonist’s; mother, Morgan, and her daughter, Clara, through a tragedy in their life. The tragedy tears them apart, making their relationship difficult and rocky. This novel follows both as they try to navigate their way through the tragic event and grieve that comes afterwards. Both individually Aldo find love on the way: one rekindling a relationship from the past and the other beginning a new one. It’s overall a tragic yet romantic book that ignited sadness, tears, anger, laughter and happiness in readers. 

This book was a fast, quick read. Though the storyline is interesting, I found it a bit difficult to enjoy the story. It just felt a bit everywhere, kind of disorganized.

The Upside of Falling - Alex Light

This story is a really cute teen-romance novel that follows two teenagers: Becca Hart and Brett Wells. Both teenagers are struggling through their own family drama and confide in each other and find help within one another. Their relationship starts off as a fake one but they slowly become closer until the fake feelings for one another starts to blur into real ones. The themes are young romance, mental health, and growth.

An easy read, great for people looking for a cute, fast romance read!

Small Miracles of the Holocaust

My rating: 5/5 tiffcliffs

This book is a combination of individuals stories, who retell their “miracles” that had happened in the dark times of the holocaust. It was a beautiful book that gave me the opportunity to see what it was truly like to live in such dark times in the world. It was extremely educating and alluring, and made me feel for each individual story. 

I definitely recommend reading this story, even if you aren’t normally a big non-fictional, or historic book reader. It truly pulls at the heartstrings and EVERYONE SHOULD READ IT!!! :)

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

My rating: 3.5/5 Tiffcliffs (my version of stars lololol)

This book was overall a good read. It was a sweet, classic romance novel that begins in the office. Protagonist, Lucy, shares an office space with her rivalled coworker, Josh. They spend their days at work part-taking in numerous different games; from the staring game to the “how are ya” game, with the end goal of trying to one of the other. Their rivalry becomes complicated when both begin to blur feelings of hate with lust and love. 

Though this book was a bit predictable, it was an easy read and was definitely able to keep my interest and it was hard for me to put the book down!

Book Suggestion

All the Bright Places, written by Jenifer Niven. 

When I tell you that this book is worth the read, take my word for it! Its a beautiful heart-wrenching story based on two teenagers, Violet Markey, and Theodore Finch, who both deal with mental issues and are helping each other overcome them, or so you would think. No spoilers obviously!! The book is written from both characters perspectives which i personally really loved about the book as it gave me an insight into both characters brains and what they were thinking about the situation. Finch, my overall favourite character, brings such uniqueness into the story and i truly fell in love with his wild but loving character. 

I’d give this book a solid 9/10. Please read if you get the chance tooooo!!:)
