Some sketches from a tour of lot-ek architectural design studio (check out their work, super cool) and some commuters on the NYC subway (ink wash in burnt sienna)
Eager to try out my new pen, I found my perfect target when I got on the NY subway - a man exhausted from work and passed out cold... While he was snoring away, I got busy with my pen & pad. I was intrigued by his exaggerated features and all the interesting shapes created by the shadows on his face, especially at an upward angle. The pen was a delight to use; I was able to capture more details than with my regular .5 fountain pen. The man on the left was someone I saw in a cafeteria. I was drawn to is patterned shirt.
