I’m late to the party because I was trying to wait until the entire game released, not just the demo. It’s whatever though, I can’t sit on pins and needles anymore. I’m already still patiently waiting for EK as it is, might as well fall back in love with this cast. 

There has indeed been some editing done to the story so far. Yes, it does still need more polish but I’m not going to nitpick on it too much, as my own stories aren’t flawless. 

eZRA’S VOICE. IT IT IT....FKDLSJLF OMGGGGGGG ITS THE VOICE OF AN ANGEL. There was one line that wasn’t voiced, so far. Mark that up to two now, and the second was only a word. 

FINN. HIS VOICE. I’ve never understood ‘smoky’ and ‘husky’ until now and holy crapballs. His voice is so smooth and sexy. THE CASUAL, SUBTLE COMMANDING PRESENCE HE HAS TO SAY ‘IF YOU’RE PLAYING TRICKS ON ME, I’LL HAVE YOUR HEAD, UNDERSTAND?’ fsdfjklsdfjklsdfjklsdfjkl I MISSED MY HUSBAND.

AUGUST. OH AUGUST. AHHHHHH ITS WONDERFUL. xD I’m in love with their voice, so mature and....well, a bit snooty. 

PIPER. OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG MY LOVE. MY QUEEN. Her voice is so lovely to listen to, soothing and commanding and enticing all at once. I’m ready to submit.

ALKAR. WOW. OKAY SIR. WTF??? HIS VOICE IS, IS, IT’S....WOW. JUST WOW. I thought Finn was supposed to be the honey sex pot voice but Alkar’s voice is just sublime. Super sexy. Mmm, I can listen to him all day.

OMEN. HNNNGH. OMG, he’s, he’s a baby. I’m in love already. 

HARRY. My face twisted in disgust the moment I heard his voice but only because while he managed to sound impressive and inspiring, there’s a thread of....him looking down on the Hunter that I can spot.  

Okay, I’m going to stop counting lines that aren’t voiced. As long as there’s voice acting in this thing, idc not really. 

The artwork has mildly improved. I’m not a genius and can regale y’all with the fine points but everybody has gotten a glo up for sure. That’s all I can say.

So after such a long time I decided to try the Pledge route officially. Because my dang curiosity of course. I’m not finished with the route in it’s entirety but it’s... it’s painful.

To spare myself serious pain, especially if in a romantic relationship, I created a brand new Hunter, Kerderius Charles. 

KC is non-binary and aro/ace. At first glance, they are very playful and very cutesy, not very serious at all. However as time went on, their serious side became more than apparent as they found a family in the residents of Lunaris and the desire to protect that family grew stronger. Enough that this zealous desire made them pledge themself to Harry. And effectively destroyed that tentative trust with Piper, August, and the others. 

After drinking the elixir and abandoning their humanity in the pursuit of power to protect not just Lunaris but Eskria as a whole as the new Lieutenant General. Is it hurtful sometimes to realize that they have no one to stand beside them at the top? Undoubtedly. 

Do they regret their choice that led to this separation? Occasionally but they have never been the type to look back and become paralyzed by regrets and old hurts; their gaze is to the future. To protect humanity in the way they hadn’t been. They don’t need thanks for what they intend to do next to make the world a safer place. After all, no one has ever sincerely thanked them for risking their life against the creatures before.

Edit: So regardless of anything, you still kinda fall apart and live in the woods of Lunaris like the Boogeyman.

It’d be interesting to write a two to three part ficlet, where that ending changes slightly though it is karmaic in it’s own way. Like, the Hunter takes the concoction and degenerates into some gross creature-thing. Or they sympathize with Harry and listen to his reasoning but ultimately aren’t happy with it and betray him, then decide to stay in Lunaris because they found their family and place to belong. 

Or the Hunter sympathizes with Harry, but still betrays him and ends up leaving Lunaris anyway for the next job, only occasionally stopping back in for visits periodically.

Hilariously enough, I think it’d be interesting if all the Hunters kind of know each other. I mean, like the created characters we made, they’re in the same area. jfdksljfl Urgh, I’m not making sense.

You guys, I always wanted to write something for the fandom and as I’m playing the second mini story of When the Night Comes, its just, holy shit, though. just amazing. I always hoped and believed in this type of ending and its canon. Ohmygod. I don’t know. I might write something on this blog or my main blog.

So I played August’s route with my nb bby, Bem, and just like I thought, they got along with each other wonderfully. It was so dang beautiful to witness

I still find anyone who did the Pledge route brave. I can’t bring myself to do it even a year later. I love these characters too much to sincerely devastate them.

The ritual Ezra and August do in chapter six has been changed slightly.

In the Lunaris festival chapter, the scenery was updated slightly. I like the changes to the background, where the ocean is added.

Finn remains my favorite vampire. The whole Clan is cool but still. He’s just the typical tortured archetype, except he’s devastatingly sexy.

Interesting I wasn’t a fan on the dialogue changes, the actual awkward and clunky parts of the story weren’t fixed, instead it felt like they focused on extrapolating and detailing a bit more is all. But I enjoy your take on things so far!

As a fanfic writer, I can say with confidence that sometimes instead of rewriting an old fic, it feels easier to just add a little detail and edit than do a complete overhaul of the series or certain parts. So I’m not mad at the way things are unfolding for now.

So far, the first time we meet Omen, his CG has changed. Also when we meet August in their office for the first time, that CG changed.
