Premise for who has never read my shit: I’m a gay male.

But riddle me this: why are Jaime fans neutral on the Cersei matter (see also usernames on this website and other boards) while Jaime/Brienne shippers are not only 99,9% Brienne fangirls more than Jaime fans (though they become sort of fans, though they’re more projecting objects of the hot male affections because of reasons) and mostly prey on Cersei and skip what’s convenient of the Jaime chapters - which are all heavily Cersei based and it’s fascinating how they’re so paralleled (also because shippy reasons and because slutty incestuous vagina)?

Is it a widespread disease?

(Unrelated but I also read some news about Loras for the next season of Game of Thrones and I hope they don’t let him fuck whoever just for the sake of HBO making numbers and headlines).

Excellent generalisations that describe, oh, I don’t know, say 5-10% (which is a generous guesstimate) of the actual Jaime x Brienne fandom? I say this as someone who has been completely immersed in said fandom for at least a year and a half now, and has actually, you know, lived the JB tag and its people.

First, thanks for dismissing my opinion because I'm a gay man with a shirtless man icon @madamoiselleviola. I disgraced tumblr with my behavior! Reminds me when they accused me of being racist towards a black rapper even though I'm black and he was being homophobic.

Second, I'm not on any team. If anything, I'm team do not destroy Jaime's arc. Strong virginal woman versus incestuous evil predator (?!!) whom poor Jaime is prey of and needs saving from a pure maiden is strictly a JB fan argument. Jaime fans, usually, are neutral to ships. I think he'll die at the end, like many other characters.

I find Jaime x Cersei fascinating because of the parallels and the valonqar prophecy, but that's another thing. The Jaime tag is littered with gendered slurs against Cersei because of their incest as if she was the one initiating and perpetuating it. She might be a brotherfucker, but he's a sisterfucker too. There's a trillion descriptions of his sexual thoughts in the books.

And don't tell me that Jaime x Brienne isn't much more mainstream and socially acceptable than Jaime x Cersei because of major projecting.
