Local Facebook witch group report: someone wants to put out water to make moon water but is concerned it will freeze and wants reassurance that frozen moon water is just as good as non frozen moon water.
depends on when the freezing happens. If it freezes while the moon is shining on it, the ice traps the moonbeams inside, empowering it more. If it is frozen before the moon hits it, the ice prevents the moonbeams from penetrating at all

I tried to scroll past this. I really did
We’ve gotten so repressed as a culture, at this rate nothing less than a whole new 1960s style “free your head” sexual revolution is going to help us.
The guardrails in your mind are fake and only make you smaller as a person. Hiding from your own feelings, needs, and desires will NOT keep you safe.
You’re never free if you cannot be free inside your own mind. The choice is to free your fucking head or slowly succumb to a self-administered poison.
Witch Tip (and Pagan Tip fr even): Read books that go deeper than bite-sized information, learn how to disregard information that doesn't apply to your practice, learn where certain practices have roots, and learn how to find source material.
This seems really "duh" but idk, I feel like sometimes people get really caught up in asking others vs. doing research themselves (or learning how to do research because sometimes it rlly doesn't come naturally).
I, personally, had to learn how to research things further than asking other practitioners and taking their word for it, because I realized one day that a lot of folks don't actually know what they're talking about, and I was getting incorrect information from sources that I trusted because others trusted them or because they had one good piece of information and I thought the rest of what they said was equal to that.
It was a mess.
Anyways, read books, take notes, read the "boring" things, and even pick up cringe books, and learn why the books are cringe. Learn what information within it is unhelpful/inaccurate and learn why it's up helpful or inaccurate for yourself.
Sure you can listen to podcasts and such, or send asks to people who know a thing or two, but also balance it out with learning to research the information that you're told, and learning to research within all sorts of books.

Reblog to cast healing for your homies.
Story for another time but I also think it's really wise to have a "stop/rest/cancel" condition to quickly indicate to spirits to release their influence over a situation, even if your spell hasn't manifested yet.
Sometimes you realize part way through that you do not want what you asked for. Or the consequences will be too high. Plans change, etc.
Poorly: "When I tell you come home, stop your work as long as the spell is already on it's way to manifestation."
Preferable: "When I tell you come home, stop your work even if the work is incomplete. Quickly return to me, even if you must leave things undone."
